The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Plenty of parking. About 20 minutes from the zoo. The building itself is very old, and the room was very small. The water from the shower and sink had little black flecks floating in it--not sure if it was from their water filtration system or from corroded pipes, but it was pretty gross. I'm attaching a picture of the black flecks I noticed below in my cup below. I likely wouldn't stay here again simply because the property is so old and there are much better hotels in the area for the price.

When we arrived around 9:30pm, there was a group of men loitering in the back of the parking lot drinking with a couple lawn chairs outside their cars. It was the only area of the parking lot open to park. My sister and I felt unsafe and asked the staff if we could park our truck up front and the staff said no, we will get towed. We told the staff about the group of men and she brushed it off and did nothing about it. We ended up parking our truck at Wendy’s and walking back to the hotel so the men wouldn’t see us. The staff was pleasant. The hotel common areas were dirty. There were crumbs in the hallways and in the elevator. I stepped on a cookie that someone dropped on the floor. The elevators were gross and the hallway on our floor smelled like a frat house. The room was clean, however they forgot a top sheet on one of the queen beds so my sister and I ended up sharing one of the two queen beds.The drawer in one of the rooms was so worn and broken. The bed was comfortable. I will never stay here again! Lipstick on a pig, Hilton can do better.

Went down for breakfast at 9:15 and there was nothing left to eat. No breads, no milk for cereals, no oatmeal, no eggs, no fruit, no yogurt. Pathetic ! We were so disappointed ! Breakfast is served til 10am. If you know how many guests you have then plan food accordingly. Bed very uncomfortable. This is unacceptable !

One nice aspect of this hotel is that Crocker Park Mall is only a few blocks away. The mall has ample dining and shopping options. Our room seemed to have been recently renovated and was extremely clean. The hotel is tucked away, so it is quiet and has lots of parking. The only complaint was the breakfast (that was included in the price of the stay), as they had run out of a number of items such as milk. That said, I would be happy to stay here again.
