We went for a one night family trip to Ohio from Michigan. I was expecting for the hotel to be just okay. But to our surprise Mainstay was clean and most importantly smells clean. I recommend and will definitely booked it again if we comeback to the area. I recommend you brinf your own toiletries. I.did anticipate for it while i was booking for a $90/night stay. There's fridge, microwave and range. Bring your own hair dryer too.

LOOK AT THE PICTURES LOL Walked into the room and the broiler for the oven was broken off just laying on the floor… There was blood or something close on the all drapes, black mold all over and dripping down the mirrors in the bathroom which is literally a health hazard. Someone BURNT A HOLE thru the microwave…. The dishes were not clean at all and clearly just placed back into the cabinet. Bathroom shower curtain was ripped and patched. Entire hotel smelt like weed and there was a lingering weird smell in the room itself. If I could give this zero stars I would. I expect a full refund and will be following up until I receive that. Completely unacceptable.

Gosh, I have stayed here many times. Gave them pass after pass for odd things like the TV not working, forgot to clean the room, dirty sheets, etc. Now I’m done. Never again will I spend a dollar here. All previous passes in one stay PLUS I paid for a bigger room but the cleaners live in them so obviously we can’t have them, but we can pay for it. They’ll say my mistake whilst taking your money. The fake spray to cover up the smell should’ve told me all I needed to know. Bumpy beds with dirty laundry is what you crave! Pick this hole in the wall.

The room was spacious. Kitchen was sufficient. Everything was pretty clean. Linens and pillows were very nice. Plenty of hangers and places to put clothing and such. There was a TV in the living room and each of the bedrooms. A/C was great. They were also able to put my son in a room right across the hall from us, which was perfect. Only things I could complain about were that the phone did not work, the extra fan they brought me didn't work, and the water smelled very strongly of chlorine. Oh, and the task chair at the desk was dangerous to sit in. Otherwise, the room was lovely. :)

I looked at the reviews ahead of time and I hope we got a fluke of a fail for the room and floor we were given. The 3rd floor of building B smelled like sweaty body oder as we stepped off the elevator. Our room smelled worse, it smelled of old cigarettes and Marijuana. (We were told it was a non-smoking room) No other rooms were available to meet our needs per the front desk. The AC units throughout the room were hit and miss if the wall controller worked or the controller on the unit worked. It was back and forth. Our kitchen wasn't a need but dangerous as the drain was missing out of the sink and exposed the garbage disposal that was full of mold. The bathroom was missed after the last cleaning, toilet showed evidence of last users #2. The shower had loose dirt and dead bugs in it. I hope it was a fluke based off what others said but we wont be back and we are in the Cleveland/Lakewood area at least a few times a year.

In our room, the fridge worked the first day, then would not cool or work after that. (could not make ice either). There were ants inside the fridge and on the counters, too. I bought ant traps, which seemed to help. To be fair, I was working long hours and was unable to reach the front desk when I did return, so did not report the problem until check out. Front desk made a note and said they would take care of it for the next guest. I return to this hotel this upcoming weekend, and had requested a different room.
