I have bipolar disorder and on new medication, also had a recent head injury. The receptionist not only slandered me to a friend by phoning him threatening to call the police and accused me of being intoxicated. I have spoken to my GP and the citizen's advice along with my friend Malcolm Wood who is a retired lawyer and have proof of the incident and prodf that I was NOT intoxicated. Not one person offered to help me. I was judged amd discriminated against to a level of epic proportions. I will be taking action against this as this so-called aparthotel has breached my privacy and is liable for defamation. I have videos of the the other issues which include the entry doors left open on for over 20 minutes and no staff around, the other evidence that highlights the unsafe, dirty, negative results of this Horrendous hovel.

The property is conveniently located one street back from the Royal Mile. It is one of the only apartments in Edinburgh with parking and a lift, which is handy if travelling with families. However, the wifi did not work the whole time (which was a common complaint on other reviews) and the floor was soooo noisy (squeaky - poorly laid) you couldn't walk around without waking up everyone in the flat

This place was great for what we wanted as it had more room than many hotels rooms and was like an apartment with kitchen, dishwasher and washing machine. Downsides was hotwater was tempid at best and the lift was a spaceship without a rocket.

Tucked off a "close" in the back of Canongate Street, it is in a great quiet location, near many interesting sites and restaurants. The room was large and comfortable. We made good use of the kitchen.

Good property to stay at if you need a kitchen and laundry facilities. Located on the Royal Mile so convenient to sites. Property was very clean and everything in good repair. Staff was very nice and helpful. I wish there had been a place for us to put our suitcases. Room did not come with even a foldable suitcase rack. Foldable suitcase racks or a small bench at the foot of the beds to host an open suitcase would have been very helpful. There was a wardrobe, but only a few hangers and I ended up using all of those and most of the shelves in the wardrobe for a 10-day stay since I did not want to keep re-opening my suitcase and digging into it. My husband ended up using the tiny desk space for all his things. We also did not have a safe to put our passports in, and the hotel doesn't have one available at the office. There was also no place to put soap, shampoo, etc. in the shower. We had to put that stuff on the rim of the shower on the floor. A small shelf in the shower would have been really helpful, as well as someplace to put extra towels in the bathroom. There was a small countertop above the toilet, but most of the room on that was taken up with toilet paper rolls, Kleenex box, a jar with makeup puffs and complimentary toiletries. No room for clean towels where they were most needed. The space didn't need to be larger, just more thoughtfully designed. Still, we were quite comfortable and would recommend this property to others.
