Nice clean place, inside and out. Could have done with another person on the desk (two of us were waiting to check in while the clerk was off fixing someone's room problem). Despite being by a road and near a couple of large shops, it wasn't noisy - and there was at least a bit of aircon available.
On the down side were to points which dropped it quite hard for me. First, the mattress had clearly been well used - it felt as if each spring wanted to introduce itself! Second, the kitchen wasn't really much use. I came with milk, tea bags, a cold drink and something for next day's breakfast, and found BOTH fridges out of use, and no cutlery or crockery.
Bus access is EXCELLENT: 10 minutes to the city centre.
Actually, it was a university dorm turned to a hotel during summer break; that is why the price was attractive. Very clean room, quiet place, not far from tram station. Did not see restaurants around, but there was a supermarket just in front of the hotel.
Clean and nice rooms for 1 just off a bus in Edinburgh! Easy to get to and from the main part of the city, and while the bed is a bit lumpy and the room for quite hot, had a lovely stay and would recommend for solo travellers
Itâs close to the tram, less than a 10min walk, a store across the street and a gas station. The room and bed were small but it was ok for a short stay. The door doesnât have a regular lock and you need to scan the card before it closes or it wonât lock. No hairdryer in the room but you can ask for one at the reception. The chair had multiple stains. No tv, mini fridge, snacks or coffee. The walls were thin and I got woken up multiple times every time someone open doors on either side. The lock also made me feel uncomfortable.
