I have stayed in a lot of hotels as a retired travel agent. This hotel is near the top for a great place to stay. Very clean, all staff I was in contact with was pleasant. Room was very comfortable. I come up to Kitchener at least twice a year for family and would definitely stay here again. My only comment would be for better signage when entering the parking lot as I am sure I am not the only one who had to go into the Doubletree to find out how to get to the hotel.

The hotel was convenient, I liked the amenities, such as the included breakfast, free parking, gym, pet friendly, smart TV with access to all of the platforms and a Starbucks on site. I had an accessible room with a king-size bed and a sofa bed plus a partial kitchen that included a decent sized fridge with a freezer, a mini dishwasher, microwave, dishes, and cutlery. Would definitely book here again. My only critique would be only having three pillows for a king size bed, and the pillows felt cheap or old. I also did not love the blanket set up-it was the typical top sheet duvet and then a cover sheet over the duvet however, it was like the sizes didn’t match or we’re just really cheap. I stayed two nights and no one came to service my room. We were there for an athletic meet though so it worked well for us

The room was great! It was clean and had what I requested. They do take a 100$ deposit for damage and will return it to your card after your stay. There is no slippers or bathrobe in the room or anywhere so if you want to use the pool, you need to wear a cover up and have slippers cause it is a little walk to the DoubleTree to get there. The night staff was a bit confused thinking I got a room meant for 6 people for only 2 people but I booked for 4 people and they tried to tell me that they were going to charge extra for the 2 other people I booked for until I told them I booked for 4 and they said they will try to see what they can do. Which is pretty dumb because there is nothing to actually do since I booked and paid for 4 people via Expedia. Otherwise. All good. Great breakfast bar!
