"First, this is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location. I stayed here on a business trip after I saw other reviews commenting on how it’s a great hotel for women traveling solo. Can confirm that is accurate! My only issue with the property is that they were hosting a “Jazz Camp” during my stay. This meant that between the hours of 8am and 11pm, discordant jazz music was (loudly) audible in my room. If you are in the hotel for the Jazz Camp, it looked like a blast! If you are coincidentally present at the same time and trying to get to sleep at a reasonable hour for work, it was less fun. I would definitely stay here again, but I will be calling to make sure it won’t coincide with Jazz Camp."

"This hotel is clearly a social hub of NOLA …. Lots of people having a good time but never the feeling of being overcrowded. The Carousel Bar is great fun and the staff very friendly and professional. The Criollo Restaurant was also excellent. Good quality, at a reasonable price, with professional staff. We enjoyed our visit immensely and would be happy to make a repeat stay."
