Nice, clean and basic hotel in the Gran Via area. In a central location which is perfect for sightseeing around Madrid along with visiting Parque Warner and Parque de Attractiones theme parks. Fantastic for a solo traveller looking for a basic hotel to stay in. Includes a safe and aircon which is fantastic as not many hotels offer a safe. The area immediately outside of the hotel on the street seemed to have quite a few prostitutes around however they didn't seem to bother me. It's not the hotel's fault though, it's just the area that it happens to be in seems to be a hotspot. Definitely recommend the hotel if visiting Madrid and solo travelling.

The "hostal" was nice and clean. Its location is superb. The surrounding area is a bit noisy, but the main problem with the noise is the poor acoustic isolation of the rooms. You could hear the conversation in a normal voice from the next room. For two nights, we could hardly sleep as our next-door neighbours had a baby who wouldn't stop crying.
