Welcome to a paradisal centurial palace that impressively overlooks the historic Lachine canalâs waterfront next to a mid-century museum.
The residence features inimitable construction thatâll leave you taken back in time to colonial French architecture blended with touches of modern design.
Enjoy breathtaking views, stroll to fine-dining restaurants and grocery stores, jaunt toward the bike path, water sports, and ice rinks, all this from a furnished centennial palace you won't want to depart.
We had a wonderful stay at the property. It was close proximity to some restaurants as well as a nice Park path for biking and walking. I highly recommend.
Property has spacious rooms, bathrooms on every floor, and is located right across the street from the rivers. Lots of things to do and see. Great for walking , running, biking, boating, fishing, etc.
This spacious house is in a great location. Overlooking the St. Lawrence River, the house is within walking distance to restaurants, shops and grocery stores. The host, Vlad, couldn't be more accommodating, and he responded quickly to any question. The house is perfect for large families.
This house is gorgeous with plenty of hang out space and a good blend of what you really need from a rental--plenty of bathrooms, good counter space, basic kitchen equipment, wifi and so on. It worked beautifully for our group of 10.That said, a couple of notes:1. Not all beds are queen. Most are full. As we were traveling with two couples, this was challenging for adults.2. There is only 1 fold out/ futon, not two. One is just a couch, the other is a fold out bed. I believe this used to be a sectional with a fold out bed, split in two rooms. The host did offer us an additional air mattress, but we figured it out.3. Missing some sheets. The fold out did not have sheets, only bare duvets, and these had stains on them.4. The house says it has 2 parking spots, but not really. One car fits fine, the second one we had to sort of wrangle. Luckily during our stay most of the folks in the shared driveway were not around, so we were able to find a spot for a second car. It's tight though, so small cars or confident drivers only.5. The oven didn't work. The stove top did, but we got an error when trying to use the oven. This did make dinner time tricky. This was also sort of the feel of the house: There were several broken things, such as the only place to hang coats and a table on the second floor which was decorative only, but still made us nervous. Still worked out and great value for the price.
Lots of space, beautiful house.
We didnât cook but the kitchen looked well equipped and nice.
About a $25 uber from the airport of $45 uber to downtown.
Be aware lots of stairs (one narrow flight to the first three bedrooms and two narrow flights to the 2nd set of bedrooms).
The stairs are uneven and slippery so be aware if anyone in the group has limited mobility.
Four of the bedroom doors were glass with no blinds or coverings, which was a bit strange and could be ackward for the wrong group!
Otherwise very nice.
Love the house. Kitchen and bath rooms recently remodeled and upgraded.
Host Victor/Vlad helpful and quick to respond to all questions and I/we had a few!
Nearby local restaurants all excellent
Il Fornetto twice
Arena Pizza twice, once take out
Chez L'Gourmand great lunch
Even walked down to the Dairy Queen for a Sundae
We ventured into Downtown to the Irish pub. McGibbins for fish and chips
All excellent! Highly recommend this VRBO!

We had a wonderful time. The rental is exactly as described. Great location with a wonderful view. Extremely clean and spacious. If anything, the photos do not do the place justice. Highly recommend. A quick note, only park one vehicle in the area behind the unit, two cars makes it difficult for the neighbours to access their own spots. However, there is plenty of free parking across the street. You will not regret staying here
We all absolutely loved this house! There are great restaurants and cafes all within blocks of the house, as well as groceries and a dog park. The waterfront view is beautiful and very nice to walk along. We highly recommend this property!
As instructed we drove to the back of the house to 1 of 2 parking options to drop off our bags and pick up groceries. Immediately we were put off by the conditions at the back of the house. The windows and handrails were full of spider webs and bugs. Clearly this was not a well maintained place.. There were just 4 of us. We looked around as we picked our rooms. The dining room had a large chandelier but only 2 bulbs worked. Both the kitchen and living rooms were nice. Upstairs we noted both bathroomss were dirty and had black mold and mildew stains. The towels didnt smell fresh. We made the best of our 3 nights stay. The neighborhood is nice. The home is huge. We felf misled by the ratings.
gobeat and pickup some groceri
We had a wonderful time in this lovely house. There's a lot of history in the area and everything we needed was close by. Vlad was a very kind and accommodating host.
I would definitely stay here again.
The house is a great find, away from downtown Montreal. As pictured & described. We'd absolutely stay here again. Host communicated with us via message during stay. Kitchen had necessities. Washer & dryer in basement was a plus.
The property looks exactly like the pictures. It has lots of character and is lovely. We enjoyed our stay. The area is great to walk in close to market and some restaurants. We walked the waterfront park and went to breakfast at a local cafe. It's a relatively easy 30-minute drive to downtown Montreal.
