Was not easy to get the actual beach, there was a small cliff like area that you to jump down to and then climb back up. Also the room was very humid, the bed felt damp.

The property was clean and well maintained. The amenities were nice. The staff was exceptionally friendly and i would stay again. Loved the area as it was quiet enough but not far from the action and we were able to walk almost everywhere!!

The ocean view was amazing. The room was super clean and quiet. Not once was I awoken from strange noises. We loved the remodeled bathroom with the funky heated mirror! The bed was absolutely perfect and so comfortable we wanted to take it home. Five stars goes to the wonderful staff here. From check in to check out we were greeted and welcomed. This certainly a place I’ll be checking into again.

My husband and I spent this past weekend at voco the Shelby for my birthday and I was amazed at the atmosphere! We have spent many summers prior when the hotel was Sand Castle, and there is no comparison now. I cannot tell people the last time I spent a night in a hotel bed that was actually COMFORTABLE as my own bed is at home until this trip! The layout and decorations of the hotel are beautiful, the staff is very friendly and made us feel as if we were at home. The room was exceptionally clean, looks neat and new, and we had quiet when we needed it at night. The hotel is located in the heart of everything you want to do and the view of the beach from the balcony is breathtaking. This will be the hotel we reserve a booking for each time we visit Myrtle Beach in the future. One thing I'd recommend is a microwave in the rooms, as ours didn't have one. Also, bring back the hot tub! I was looking for that! :)

Weekend escape

Great ocean front location. Convenient to a variety of shopping and restaurants. Our room was perfect for a short weekend getaway. It was very clean and they accommodated our request. Check in was quick and the staff were friendly. Will definitely stay with them again when in the area.

A beautiful, elegant hotel with 10 star service.

The hotel was spotless. My room was outstanding. The view from my balcony was breathtaking.. There was always somebody in the hallway cleaning the floors. The elevator was spotless. Never have I seen a Beach hotel with five star service like The Shelby. Every staff member would greet me and say good morning or good afternoon. I hope you’re having a pleasant day. The pool, beach and parking are footsteps away from your room. My dog felt like a star in this hotel because everybody loved her.

The staff welcomed us with lots of love and respect. We love that they are pet-friendly, and everywhere you go, you can take your dogs with you. There is a beautiful view of the beach, and the vibe was just amazing!
