The hotel is so cute and the staff were so friendly. It is an older hotel but had a renovation in 2022 I believe. Our room did have a musky smell but it’s humid there so I assumed that was why. There is an amazing restaurant connected to the hotel called Ruby Slipper. Easy to walk around the French quarter.

Staff was great and room was fine. The actual issue was Expedia, who said there was free parking across the street from the hotel. There is no free parking in downtown New Orleans.

The hotel is old, and it looks like it. The room had very little lighting which makes me wonder what filth they were hiding. We had to ask for service every day (take out trash, refresh coffee bar and towels). No help with baggage. The entrance way looks like an alley - nearby trash cans and debris. No phone in room and texts were not responsive. The front desk needs training. The nearby restaurant was very good.

The decor is funky and fun, giving the hotel the spirit of New Orleans. Possibly haunted, perhaps just eccentric, this place made our trip perfect! We thought for sure for the first 2 days of our trip that we were the only guests. the room was spacious, clean and comfortable and our front desk night staff was awesome and knowledgeable. No breakfast, but we weren’t in NOLA for hotel brekky anyways. The other couple we traveled with was so jealous after seeing our space because they’d booked a big box hotel and had the most basic room compared to our stay. We will definitely be back and always recommend The Pelham to anyone traveling to New Orleans! Super central location but still tucked away on a quiet part of the city, too. If you’re looking for a big luxury spot, try somewhere else but if you’re looking for a space that feels like your own apartment in the city, this is it.

My experience at the Pelham Hotel was absolutely fantastic! From the warm and professional welcome by Josh at the front desk to all the wonderful services offered, everything exceeded my expectations. The location was perfect—right in the heart of the French Quarter and close to all the best attractions and historic places in New Orleans, such as Canal Street, the Steamboat, the Sazerac Museum, and so much more. The rooms and facilities were spotless, and the atmosphere made my stay so enjoyable. I couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate my birthday with my best friend. I highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to return!
