Here is a more professional and polished version of your review:➻I am extremely disappointed with this booking experience. I reserved what was advertised as a beautiful, luxury, brand-new space featuring a spacious patio. However, on the day of arrival, I had to reach out to the host myself to obtain check-in instructions and access details. It was only then that I was informed that the property I originally booked was no longer available and that I would be relocated to a different unit.Unfortunately, the replacement property did not match the description provided. It was neither brand new nor luxurious. The patio was very small, the bedrooms and beds were undersized, and the furniture appeared inexpensive and worn. Additionally, the building had a strong odor resembling cat urine, particularly in the hallways, which was very unpleasant. The blinds in the unit were not functioning properly, and there was only one television in the entire two-bedroom apartment.The overall environment was also disappointing. The walls were extremely thin, and noise from the hallway and neighboring units, including crying children, was easily heard. This significantly impacted the comfort of the stay.What is most concerning is that the furniture in the unit appeared identical to that shown in the listing photos of the original property, leading me to question whether the advertised unit was ever truly available.

Property was clean. Was concerned coming in due to being moved to a different property last minute. Would have cancelled however struggled to find an alternative last minute but felt the situation was extremely unacceptable. Smoke detector was missing and the blinds in the main living space did not open so property was dark.

The apt was nice. Roomy bathroom, but really small living space. Everything was low to the floor - as older people, this was a little rough, but I understand with limited space. It was hard to eat a meal w/ tiny, low tables. The place was updated and cozy and MUCH nicer than staying in a hotel. The owner was always helpful whenever I needed her. One helpful advice would've been to inform your guests of the street cleaning schedule. As an out-of-towner, I am not used to driving in such hectic traffic conditions. It actually threw me into anxiety with all the traffic infractions done by others so I decided to park my car and not use it for the rest of the trip. Unfortunately, where I was parked was behind a tree and I did not see the sign which is up high that states the street cleaning schedule. I ended up with a 65 parking ticket that I cannot contest even though I should have the right to because I cannot go to a hearing. With the crazy illegal actions of drivers, to receive a stupid parking ticket because I don't want to drive in that mess was a little off-putting. Other than that, we enjoyed ourselves. Just remember that when you look at the pictures, it's definitely smaller than what it appears but it is nice and so is the owner. The housekeeping lady was very nice also.
No visual signage from where I parked. This is how I ended up with a ticket. I did not see the street cleaning signs and I walked directly across the street and to the apartment not seeing them there either
Decent size bedroom although it was hard to get around it to the other side. Unfortunately it was worse than the other bedroom but bigger closet
Shared the closet with a water heater. But there were lots of things in there to give people places to sleep if you had a few guests, including a crib for a baby. I thought that was a nice touch.
Tiny apartment living which unfortunately didn't give you much cabinet space for anything. I couldn't even place a gallon of milk in the fridge due to the shelf height. It would have been nice to have a coffee maker instead of a French press.

Since booking last April, the address where we would be staying changed 2 more times and the last one was the day before our arrival. There were 5 of us and there were only 3 plates, glasses and coffee cups. The hallway freaked of marijuana all the time, and our last morning there, we could smell it in our bathroom, so it’s seeping in through the cracks. At least it was close to the subway system. We basically just needed a place to lay our heads at night, so it was good for that.

This VRBO was everything we hoped for and more! From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless — parking was a breeze, and entry was flawless. Communications w host was top notch. The apartment itself is spotless — super clean, quiet, and beautifully maintained. It’s incredibly spacious, with a good size bathroom featuring a full tub/shower.The balcony was one of our favorite parts — such a peaceful spot to relax with a great view of the surrounding rooftops, trees, and nearby buildings. Inside, the beds were so comfortable, and the kitchen had plenty of room to cook and enjoy meals. We even appreciated the Roku Smart TV for unwinding in the evening. It’s very quiet both inside and out, yet still feels friendly — everyone we passed in the elevator greeted us kindly. Host was exceptionally warm, kind and accommodating in all communications. Overall, this was one of the best VRBO experiences we’ve had. We can’t recommend it enough and would absolutely stay here again!

The actual place we stayed at location-wise was not what was advertised. Was told this unit was very new, but felt much otherwise. Very little noise insulation and the hallways smelled constantly. Back door did not close all the way and the front door safety lock broke off during our stay.

The apartment was very tidy and spacious with most essentials. Plenty of towels and the furnishings were fine. No pots and pans to cook with and no ice or ice trays in freezer. Access to the building was inconsistent with either open/unlocked main entry or using a key fob to enter (that we figured out). Very strong weed smell in the hallways.Neighborhood just ok for my taste and location is not close to the subway lines that we needed, but we made it work. Overall, our stay was good!

Der Balkon war ein super Extra.FĂŒr vier Personen eine gute GrĂ¶ĂŸe fĂŒr 1-2 Wochen.Top: - NĂ€he zur Metro-Station DeKalb Ave. (1min), ca. 20min nach Manhatten (L-Line)- Kommunikation ĂŒber FeWo mit Vermieterin- Check-in und Check-out sehr unkompliziert und flexibel- Apartment als solches (2 Schlafzimmer, Bad, KĂŒche, Wohnzimmer und großer Balkon)- sehr ruhig (Tag und Nacht)- jedes Zimmer hat separat einzustellende KlimaanlageVerbesserungswĂŒrdig:- die Nachbarschaft/Umgebung ist nicht die Beste- Sauberkeit und Balkon etwas verwahrlost- Ausstattungskleinigkeiten (z.B. waren fĂŒr 4 GĂ€ste nur 3 Geschirrsets verfĂŒgbar) - Wasserleitung von KĂŒhlschrank (inkl. icemaker) haben nicht richtig funktioniertInsgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden und wĂŒrden das Apartment als Alternative zu 2 Hotelzimmern jederzeit wieder buchen.

We are from SC and know nothing about the neighborhoods of NYC. I want to make sure others like us have more of an accurate idea of this part of town than we did. This listing and its glowing reviews gave me a very different impression of what we would find when we pulled up to this unit. It is not in a nice part of town. There were sketchy looking people milling all about, there were bars on all the lower story windows, and there was absolutely nowhere to park for blocks in any direction on the overly crowded streets. We were traveling with our four children and did not feel safe enough to get out of our car to go into the unit, so we never even saw the inside. We kept driving and stayed in a hotel instead. When I told the host about our concerns and that the unit didn’t seem to match the description online, she told me I was “literally describing the neighborhood of Bushwick.” Again, I admittedly lack knowledge of the neighborhoods in NYC, which is why I was having to trust reviews. Maybe this can help someone else in our position. This unit might be great for someone wanting to be in this area, but it was the one disappointment on our amazing American History road trip up the east coast. One other little thing—it was a bit odd that the address listed on VRBO was not the same as the actual address of the unit that the host gave me.

Overall, we enjoyed this property and do not hesitate to recommend. Access to the subway was simple- just down the street. There was a second station just a short walk away. There is a grocery store, a restaurant, and a hospital within walking distance. The apartment’s beds were reasonably comfortable. There are 3 window ac units- one in each bedroom and one in the common area. Plates and bowls are sparse, and pans are dented. Although an automatic coffee maker is listed, one was not available. We ran the dishwasher a couple of times to ensure enough dishes for our stay. Two towels were provided for showering, so we had to locate a few more. The deck was nice with a fun view of the buildings behind. The bathroom was remodeled, but attention to mold buildup in the tub caulking and a slow sink drain should be addressed.

Perfect spot in Brooklyn!

The flight was awesome. The location was perfect, a three minute walk from the DeKalb subway station. Only about 25 minutes to Manhattan.Is great, and we found a couple of great secondhand stores nearby. The market that is on the corner is fantastic. Everything was great.
