Nice room and good price, but incredibly noisy ...

Pros: Clean, simple, and cheap. Chinatown location was interesting to see.
Cons: Noise reduction/protection? Not sure if anything can be done. :(
Location: Chinatown and lower east side attractions.
I used to live across the street from a city hospital, so I thought I could sleep through anything. My room was on the 6th floor facing the subway/train (I didn't think to ask for a lower room facing a different direction even though I had read the reviews). :( I know now that I cannot sleep through anything. :( The room was spotless, small flatscreen on the wall, comfortable bed ... only real problem was the noise, and it was really, really bad. I bought earplugs, but they didn't work for me. Liked the location in Chinatown ... very interesting to walk around. Desk staff was efficient. Really, it's all about whether you can sleep through random trains literally coming by your very close window at all hours of the day AND night. If you have a hearing problem, Room 606 might be for you. Everything else was very nice. : )

Nice hotel close to subways

First impression of the area was not the greatest since we arrived around 2:30am in the middle of Chinatown. It looked sketchy even our Lyft driver waited for us to make it inside lol. Once we found the entrance the whole thing changed, the hall was super clean, went up to check in and literally took 2 mins since they were expecting us late. Gave us the keys and we were on our way. Hotel is couple blocks from subways, every morning it smelled clean and was kept clean. Every time we came back in the evening from a day out, beds were freshly made and the bathroom was restocked. Definately would stay here again, the price was also great. Train does pass by right next to the window but if you explore NYC the right way you will be too tired at the end of the day to hear anything.

Convenient & Comfort for Active Adventurers

Pros: We liked the location, cleanliness, and staff. This hotel was perfect for our New York vacation.
Cons: Wifi connection in the rooms could be improved.
Location: We walked the Brooklyn Bridge, visited the court hall/Wall St, ate pizza in Little Italy, had donuts at Dunkin Donuts, & took the subway everywhere.
Our room was located on 3rd floor looking out to the Manhattan Bridge and Broadway St. We are active travelers who like to be out of our room and busy discovering every thing there is to do when on vacation, so this hotel was PERFECT for us. We'd come back around 10pm every night to a nice chilly room (it was 97*+ every day we were there), cozy comfortable beds, and warm/hot showers. Every night we'd end our day with a movie (on cable) before falling asleep. Wifi didn't work well in the room, so we used their computer on site when necessary. We used Google Maps/CityMapper on our phones for 99% of what we did. Train noise was a VERY low rumble- the 4 of us didn't even need earplugs! Hotel was a GREAT location to everything we did and super easy to catch subways/buses. People in Chinatown were very respectful of us and made us feel safe when walking late at night in the city. Hotel has an elevator- which was awesome after walking an avg of 3 hrs/26 flights of stairs a day.

Unique modern hotel

Location: Location is very good and you can walk to many places like Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Macy's, and Radio City Music Hall.
It was a very different experience. There were two of us and I did not know it was bunk beds until we got there. Luckily I am in good shape and the ladder was not a problem except the metal is hard on your feet. It seems like a hotel young people would enjoy as it is very modern and minimalist. The idea is to conserve space and I think you need to know that before you go. I think wash cloths and tissues should have been provided.
