Mid Century Home with Casita Modern Olive

Completely Renovated 1953 Mid Century Home

This beautiful upscale mid century modern home is located in South Palm Springs in the Tahquitz River Estates neighborhood. The center of Downtown is approx. 1 mile away making it extremely convenient to popular bars, restaurants, shopping, art galleries, etc. You will also be just a couple of blocks away from Tahquitz Creek where many locals and visitors enjoy long walks along the creek.

We will be available in case of emergencies and to answer any questions you may have.

The home is located in a quiet neighborhood and it is within 1.5 miles to the center of downtown.

Guests will have access to the entire house. Please NOTE: This is not just another vacation rental, this is the owner's home away from home. Please treat it as your own home.

This home has 4 bedrooms.

The main bedroom has a comfy king size bed, desk, dresser, smart TV and an en-suite bathroom with a walk in shower has a door to access the backyard (perfect for those long days by the pool!)

The guest bedroom has a queen size bed, side tables, and a smart TV.

The TV room (which can also be used as a 3rd guest bedroom) features a comfy sofa that converts to a full size bed with a high quality mattress. This room is perfect to use for movie night or as an optional 3rd bedroom. There's also a door that opens up to the backyard/pool area.

The guest bathroom is located in the hallway between the guest bedroom and TV room. It also has a walk in shower. We do not have bath tubs in any of our bathrooms.

The guest suite is approx 500sf, detached and completely private with a separate entrance. The suite provides guests with a king bed, two bunk beds, private en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, smart tv, kitchenette, dining area and lounge space. Guest will enjoy private access along with an oversized set of glass sliders leading out to the pool area and a view of the fruit orchard. We have supplied this unit with two air conditioners/heaters and privacy doors that separate the sleeping area from the lounge and kitchenette.
**Please note that our additional listing for 'Modern Olive 3' does not include the guest suite described above. The guest suite will be not be available to anyone if renting 'Modern Olive 3'.

This home has been completely renovated with designer quality features, modern decor and includes everything you need during your stay. The backyard is beautifully landscaped, fully enclosed and surrounded by tall privacy hedges and has wonderful views of the mountains which makes it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the pool and spa.

SEPARATELY INVOICED - POOL/SPA HEATING:

** Optional Pool Heating Fee of $75 per night (recommended mid September thru mid May)

The above fees will be charged separately through the booking channel 1-2 weeks prior to check-in.

* Stays over 28 nights are not subject to the 12.5% Lodging tax, but will require an additional mid stay cleaning fee and may be subject to utility fees. Please inquire about long term stays prior to booking.

Stay for Coachella

This house has everything you need. The kitchen was well equipped with all the things we needed for the weekend. The property was very spacious and well spread out. The back house is perfect for separation of guest. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. The property is closely located to Downtown Palm Springs with many places and amenities near by. Mike was great, he kept in contact with us for any questions or issues we had. My family had a blast.

We had a great stay for 6 nights. It is clean and backyard has lots of room and we swam in the pool and relaxed at the spa. It is a nice and quiet neighborhood, and super close to downtown, restaurants and shops.

Quiet neighborhood and lovely property.

This is a very nice and quiet neighborhood. The pool area is very well kept and a nice relaxing place to enjoy. The property is close attractions such as the down town area and close the dry river bed for walking. Highly recommend the property.

Perfect Honeymoon

This house is perfect for two couples or group of friends. It feels like it's ideally set up for 4 people based on the number of seats in the dining and living areas, but you could fit up to 6 if you're cozy. The location is a very short drive (<5 min) to the main strip as well as restaurants and grocery stores. It was exceptionally quiet with no road noise. Beautiful view of the mountains as well.

Perfect vacation

The property was perfect. Very clean, great for a quiet week. The only outdoor noise was landscaping - it was very peaceful yet very close to all the restaurants and activities. Like other reviewers mentioned, the owner is great and very available. The property is exceptionally well stocked for a vacation rental. It had more than what we needed. Can’t wait to visit this property again.

This is a beautiful house with everything you would need for a great vacation! Walt was great to work with, and we felt so comfortable during our stay. The beds are beyond cozy and the pool and backyard were something from a dream. Pictures do not do this house justice!!

Fantastic week in Palm Springs!

Overall this is a great house. Full amenities as listed. Was worth paying to heat the pool / spa. The kitchen was well equipped. The contact with the house manager / agent was near real time and super helpful/responsive. The neighborhood is fantastic, the proximity to shops and food was also great. The only suggestion was that the air mattress was not great. Consider putting a mattress or day bed in the TV room.

Great Neighborhood and We’ll Stocked

We loved this property and the neighborhood! Great swimming pool with privacy, I’m glad we paid to have it heated this time of year. There was plenty of dishes and kitchen accessories including utensils for the bbq which we didn’t use. We will recommend this property and would love to come back to enjoy the pool and the down time in a relaxing home.

Private and Perfect

Frank’s house was perfect for my husband and I, my daughter and her beau and our two dogs. We ended up spending most of our time outdoors in the beautiful yard, in the pool, spa or one often various sitting areas. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies that Frank generously provided (how often do you stay in a vacation property where there are extras of paper goods, dishwasher pods etc?) Also, prior guests left a number of useful pantry items. The three citrus trees provided us with amazing grapefruit and oranges for yummy drinks that we had to concoct because the fresh fruit tasted amazing. The house was comfortable and well appointed. We had a minor plumbing issue and I texted Walt who had a plumber there within 30 minutes. Walt also made sure that we were well situated upon arrival. The house is a quick walk to the Tahquitz river where we walked both our dogs and ourselves daily. Overall, a great house in a great location that is beautifully appointed and well maintained.
