This resort was a major disappointment. Unless you’re a Black Band VIP, expect second-class treatment from the start. I booked an ocean-view king room through Expedia and was given two queen beds facing nothing but palm trees. The front desk refused to honor my reservation.
There are no elevators, the pool closes at 8pm, and the shower drained terribly. The food was mediocre, and only two staff members showed any friendliness; the rest seemed irritated. You’re also not allowed to take buffet food to your room, which is ridiculous.
The drinks were some of the worst I’ve had—no premium liquor, watered-down cocktails, and even the non-alcoholic drinks tasted bad. Entertainment was cheesy, and although the bar stays open until 2am, you’re expected to stay quiet or get told off.
Most guests were seniors, making the atmosphere dull. You only get one pool towel per day, and the resort feels outdated. Workers were scrubbing tiles in the pool and jacuzzi while people were still in the water. There are no bottled waters, only dispensers, and no ice machines—you have to go to the bar for everything. And unless you’re VIP, forget about poolside drink service.
My group will never return, and I wouldn’t recommend this resort to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere that actually values its guests.
