The resort is too spread out walking forever to getr a coffee or ice cream would be an issue for many travelers. The staff was the spectrum from rude and stand offish to the other extreme to vey friendly and nice definetly not as warm as the staff in mexico but I knew that prior to going. The room AC is very cold and you cannot adjust it was an issue as well. If you do not go uniques as we did good luck getting into any of the specialty restaurants. Of all the specialty restauranys El Charro was definetly the best the French had rude staff so that was a big disappointment.Mareas was noisy and the lobster was a poor quality. Asador the steak house was fine and so was the unique club restaurant the staff was good as well. the unique beach was nice with great water but the issue on the weekend was the boats docked offshore blasting music all day ruined the atmosphere. Entertainment was one key reason we chose this resort and it fell flat on it's face!! We have been to 24 other resorts in Mexico and the caribbean and know what to expect low quality entertainment is the standard. However here the entertainment was repetitive and boring nothing to do in the afternoon especially on rainy days which we had a couple of only thing to do is drink or sit in your room boring!!!. the buffet did offer the best variety but should better identify what the food is especially for people with food allergies. This was our first and last trip to the DR it's not for us and definetely not worth
