This was a clean, well-equipped, large flat decorated attractively and situated close to the Old Port. This was reflected in the expensive price.
However, the mattress was too small for the bed, leaving the frame sticking out at ankle level. This created a trap that I hit during the night, giving a nasty cut.
The hotel operates without a receptionist with the access code being emailed. This was not obvious on the Expedia advert.
However, even though I had phoned our credit card details that morning, an email didn’t arrive (and still hasn’t) and I had to make several phone calls to chase without success.
Eventually, Laethicia admitted she had been sending details to the wrong address and so she texted the code.
The code gave us access to the building but not to the room. With no reception we searched the building for help.
After some time, we discovered a cleaner who kindly opened the door when we discovered the flat in the text was in fact occupied by someone else.
The cleaner couldn’t help and so she disappeared.
After some time, we found another member of staff who couldn’t help and so went off to investigate.
After further delay it became clear that the text gave the wrong room number.
We received no instructions on the flat or its operation.
We never managed to get the TV to work as there were no instructions.
