Within walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, bars, grocery, church, and even a 4 story thrift shop. We didn't stay long, but we were able to experience bustling St. Roch very well from this location. We would definitely stay here again.

There were red hairs on the desk and hair in the bathroom. There was no toilet paper in the room. I contacted the host and followed their instructions, but there was still no toilet paper there. Then, I received a message the next morning telling me to check another room because there might be some there. This was too late. I wish they had told me that from the beginning. The small towels had a very strong, unpleasant smell. The shower drained very slowly, and the hot water did not last long. There was no heating in the room, so it was a little cold. The light outside the entrance was not working, so it was difficult to find the entrance, especially at night. There are about 20 stairs, so carrying a large suitcase upstairs was difficult. On the positive side, the location is close to the station. The bed was large, the desk was spacious, and there was a hair dryer. There were also some snacks left by the previous guest, so they were available for anyone who wanted them. There was also an area nearby where a number of homeless people gathered, which made me feel a little unsafe.

Noise pollution/sleepless nights

Do not stay here and expect to sleep at night. Too many bars discharging drunks and random homeless people making noise ALL NIGHT. We had to buy a decent pot to cook with but there were dishes. No elevator either so be sure to pack light.
