Staff is great, check in was a breeze, they are pet friendly but no area for pets to relieve themselves so my 13 year old dog peed in the middle of the road that goes through the property. Housekeeping was quite upset that some pee ran downhill towards where they were working, without reaching them. They verbalized their discontent and poured a whole big bottle of bleach on the puddle and down the little river of pee. It is my practice to pour about half a gallon of water over dog pee so the places he goes don't start to stink but i wasn't given a chance in this case, I apologized but I was not acknowledged. There were other pet owners walking their dogs around the parking area because that was the only place available. I don’t blame staff for being tired of a pet waste, it just seemed a little excessive to pour that much bleach essentially down the drain… it’s pretty toxic. The housekeeper that was cleaning the rooms around mine was very nice and went out of her way to let me know that she was available if I needed anything. The only problem I had was roaches! I killed five roaches, the biggest one of which was crawling up my leg until I flipped it off, then it was on it’s back wriggling its legs, of course, I screamed, freaked out, hit it with my shoe, I hate doing that but what are you gonna do when boyfriend’s asleep? I suspect they may have been spraying in the next room over because they all came from that direction. Thankfully none crawled on me in bed!

We always stay here we love the location. As long as this place is here we will continue to stay here but we do wish they would have a customer rewards program so we could earn free or discounted stays after staying here so many times.

We got there a little later than usual; after 9 pm. Parking seemed full, because most of the customers were already in their room; however there was enough parking to accommodate our later arrival. Customer service was fast and friendly! Thank you!

It"s a great bargain, but if you are a light sleeper the location may be too noisy. I only heard the sirens (there's a fire station close by) because I was awake.

A nice surprise

I will never hesitate again to take a room at Motel 6. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the lighting was good. The Southbay Motel 6 is not in a good area - ALOT of racing cars and motorcycles, but once I turned on TV, the sound wasn't that bad.

I stayed over a year ago for 10 nights and one year later the service is still top notch and the property is well maintained. The housekeepers are impeccable when it comes to cleaning and the rooms are modernly dated and comfortable. The only eyesore is due to underground sewage/plumbing along the entryway path. Otherwise, by far one of the top motel stays within the Motel 6 franchise!
