Staff is fantastic, but rooms need updating
The overall experience to value of this hotel is fine. THE GOOD: Front desk service was outstanding! Friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. The happy hour win and charcuterie + breakfast in the morning were welcome surprises! We were also provided a free bottle of chilled champagne in our room! The location is also close to downtown, train station and beach. THE BAD: The room we were given, while large, was almost windowless and had a strange mildew smell throughout. The furniture is super outdated and the carpet and decor is in very bad need of a refresh.

I travel to SB often. Lavender Inn was a great place to stay. Breakfast and evening wine &/cheese were very nice. I loved the location being close to downtown but being quiet and offering a lot of wonderful options like biking and walking.

We stayed here the night before our wedding. When we checked in they surprised us with a free upgrade to our room! It was a quaint hotel with great charm ... We will definitely be back
