Great location, street parking only so pay attention to signs (this is normal for downtown SB though!), lots of space in the living room and natural light! We didnât get a chance to use it but the outdoor space was really cute and private. Amy was also really easy to get in touch with when we had a couple of questions.
Check in was seamless. The space was clean and larger than expected based on the photos. The kitchen is on the small side but serviceable (and the space in the main room makes up for that). Some traffic noise as it's on a busy street, but not an excessive amount. Barely noticeable with windows closed. The host is kind and communicative.
This house is beautiful with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, living room, dining area and a patio/backyard that is completely fenced in and very private. Everything was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The location is great, just a short drive to the beach/pier and lots of restaurants/shopping. Amy was a great host and responded quickly. My family and I would definitely stay here again.
Perfect place for my wife, dog, and me to spend a long weekend. We parked our car and didn't move it the whole time. The house is walking distance to everything we needed and super comfortable to just hang out in. The only hiccup was that it wasn't very clear which towels were available for us to use, but the host was quick to respond and help us sort that out.
We loved EVERYTHING about this place! The little loft was a perfect place for our 4th grade boys to enjoy while we came to complete their Mission Project and see Old Santa Barbara Mission. I brought my friend and her son (our boys go to school together). PERFECT EVERYTHING. I went to UCSB so I'm familiar with SB and surrounding areas so I was excited to see this was a PERFECT SPOT before booking you can't find a better spot. You can walk to everything and it's perfect. The pictures do not do this place JUSTICE. It is SO CUTIE! The decor, comfy beds, clean bathroom and cute little courtyard surrounding the house was perfect for morning coffee before we hit the mission and beach! The best beach (Leadbetter) is just a short drive away! Amy is very helpful and I can't wait book her place for another visit!
This is a charming, comfortable and well-cared for house! It is in a great location with plenty of space for 4 people. We loved the wallpapered nook and tiles in kitchen and bathroom!
Please remind guests that they need to move their car for street sweeper we received a 60 ticket. Came home in dark each day and didnât see the signs sign. Patio not clean spider webs and dust. Webs on gate to get in. Rugs in home very used.
The delayed check-in was an unexpected and disappointing surprise for my family of three. In advance of our stay, I had reached out to Amy (the property manager) to request a 2:00 PM check-in, explaining that we are cyclists and would be arriving after a long day on the saddle. It was also my birthday week, and I was looking forward to celebrating during our stay. Amy responded that the home would be ready by 2:00 PM and asked me to message her the day before to confirmâ which I did. She assured me everything would be ready.Unfortunately, upon arrival, we found dirty sheets on the floor, towels still in the washer, and the home had clearly not been cleaned from the prior guests. I immediately communicated this to Amy. With her permission, we agreed my family would shower and go out for dinner while the place was cleaned. Despite being tired and hungry after a 4-hour ride, I messaged her again as we left, letting her know that no cleaning crew had arrived yet.Amy called several times while we were getting readyâonce to offer oranges and again to suggest dining options, even after I had told her we already had plans to dine at a nearby restaurant. Although I appreciated the gesture, it became somewhat intrusive. After dinner, we returned and stayed outside while the home was finally cleanedâby 5:30 PM. Amy later told us the property had been vacant for two days prior to our arrival, which made the oversight more frustrating. At that point, it felt more like a management error.
My dad and I attended my cousin's wedding. The location of the home was great. The only issues I had but did not affect our stay was that the door lock did not work when we were leaving and parking was a small issue. My dad can't walk that far and if parking wasn't available outside the front gate we had to work around that issue. But most of the time parking was available. Communication with the owner was great and the owner was responsive. We enjoyed our stay.
The place had a cool mid century vibe but with updated appliances & bathroom. Everything was clean and in good condition. Loved the closeness to the town center and shops. A mirror wasnât secured on the wall very well and fell and broke after bumping into it. Which was a bummer. But, it didnât ruin my stay. Will definitely stay here again given a chance. And would recommend it to anyone whoâs willing to wash their own sheets and dishes.
My husband and daughter were not too impressed when we drove up to our VRBO.But once we opened the door they changed their minds. The inside of the house was well appointed, comfortable and very convenient to restaurants and coffee shops. We enjoyed ourselves in this home and definitely would return.
Two bedroom (both good sized) unit was roomy, clean, and close to central Santa Barbara. Everything was straightforwardâcheck in, lights, heat, shower, appliances, etc. Not a single âHow does this workâ moment. Amy was immediately responsive to all emails. Highly recommended
Amy was very responsive and even allowed my family to have a late check out which was so appreciated. It was in a great location and close to State Street. Property does not sleep 5 but Amy allowed us to bring an air mattress. Property could be better equipped such as having paper towels or toaster in the kitchen.
Loved the decor. It was a great location- only negative, the neighbors decided to play the drums for a while one day- NO reflection on the accommodations- I would stay here again
The home itself was a great size for my family of 4. The kids loved the loft area and I thought the beds were very comfortable. Check in was easy with a smart lock. Parking was mostly easy to find except on Sunday night for us. Need to check all the street sweeping and parking restriction signs. The check out process tells you to get all the sheets, towels, and bedding and start a load of laundry. I contacted the host about there not being any detergent and they said there should be some under the sink, but there wasnât. I sent a follow up message and then asked if there were any paper towels or napkins, and didnât receive any responses to the last 3-4 messages I sent. The floors were old and kinda dirty, I did not like to walk barefoot on them. We had some loud neighbors up til 2-3 am on Saturday/Sunday, but that isnât the hosts fault. Itâs not super close to downtown, so we figured it would be quieter. Overall, OK place but I wouldnât rent again.
The property was as pictured and anticipated and well located for the Santa Barbara bowl. Some minor things would have been nice to have such as paper towels, salt, espresso (was mentioned in ad but not available, additional bath towels).
Overall we enjoyed our stay, the property and location!
Thank you!
