Was asked if I wanted to upgrade to a newly renovated suite with wood floors for an extra $20. The floor was laminate which caused echos and the lighting was so bright that it felt more like a work space than a hotel room. The TV in the sitting area wasn’t working properly, which was replaced when reported. To top it all off, construction started on an adjacent room after 8am when our 1yr old had just gone to back to sleep. When brought up at checkout, I was told “oh sorry for that”, and still charged the extra $20. Find a different hotel.

The breakfast was very expensive for what you got. Definitely not worth it. The buffet was basically the same breakfast we can get an other hotels like a best western or the holiday inn up the street for free. The hot tub was also not good - way to shallow for an adult. The water line basically sits at your waist. Other than these two things everything else was great. Waterside and pool were the main highlights for the kids. Room was great with two bunk beds for the kids at an excellent price.

Originally I had a pool window room, which I did not want as the pool is indoors so I had no outdoor light. The hotel was fully booked our first night but they accommodated us the next day and changed our room for us so we could get that natural light we prefer.

Good location and helpful staff. However, its time so start renovating. Specifically the washrooms need to be gutted. The lighting and paint make you feel like youre underground, needs a frefresher. I stayed at these hotels a lot 15 years ago and it doesn't feel like anything changed.

Accommodation is ok but the room lacks tasty decoration. As a resort inn, it won't be too much to add a little bit something such as complimentary water or simple snacks as a welcome gift. Restaurants, I believe, is the service that really needs to improve.
