Check in was excellent, courteous staff, comfortable bed, however the bathroom was ridiculously tiny, and the shower in the tub took an unimaginable time to get hot, and then got too hot and didn’t respond safely to the controls.

I loved this hotel, beautiful. The staff were great help when asked questions and very friendly. The location of this hotel is a plus, everything is at a walking distance. The complimentary tea, coffee, etc…was great. Came back home and ordered some of that tea brand. One thing that I didn’t care for were the mattress, they were a bit too firm for us but I’d still come back and stay here again. Thank you Hawthorne Hotel!

This is a wonderful 100 year historic old hotel! Although the room and, especially the bathroom, were small and some of the furniture scuffed, it is still a great, convenient place to stay in Salem!
