I have never in my life left a review before, but after my experience with my wife here last night, I had to.
To start, it was not clean, I felt very unsafe, and people were just randomly hanging around the premise.
Around 11:30PM, My wife and I were awakened by a woman banging on our hotel door trying to open it. She was screaming that they needed to see our faces because we were “not supposed to be in that room”. She told us she would call the police if we did not open the door. This room was rightfully ours since we reserved it online, so I yelled back that if they did not leave, I would do the same. The front desk clerk came and yelled the same thing as the lady beforehand. I opened the door slightly, and with frustration, asked the Clerk if he recognized me after seeing my face, he said yes. He was literally holding the document we both signed at check-in just hours earlier. Being frustrated that I was woken up, I yelled for both of them to leave immediately. I slammed the door, locked it, and stayed up all night to make sure nobody came again.
To make matters worse, the next morning, we told the new Clerk at the front desk the chaotic event from last night. To my surprise, he answered that everything was okay and it was simply a misunderstanding. In complete shock, I answered it was not okay. Since then, no one has apologized or recognized what happened that night.
Moral of the story: don’t ever stay at Motel 6. This deserves ZERO stars.
