Great boutique hotel; friendly staff; in an excellent location. However, inexplicably stingy regarding strange things such as no milk delivered with morning room service tea (and the tiniest tea pot ever). But, the worst, was the noise from overhead: From my room I heard heavy stomping at 2 a.m. then again from 5-6 a.m. on two out of my four nights. There was no one whom to tell: No one asked about my stay upon checkout and it’s basically (very nice) young people working the lobby. However, even given all of that, I would return as the location is perfect, and (other than the clodhoppers-in-residence) it’s an elegant, grown-up place to stay away from all of the touristy noise. But, please, please, please round out your room service a wee bit more generously (put a honey pot on the tray with the fruit and granola!)

This is a great spot if you are in Boston because it is close to everywhere, there is a restaurant downstairs, and the staff is professional. It is pricey but you get you pay for.

Lovely hotel on the Charles River. I book a room with a view and it was incredible. Several things were broken in the room. I needed a new coffee machine, the blind was hanging strange, and the shower leaked.

Can’t wait to come back

My mom and I loved our stay at the Whitney Hotel. The service was wonderful starting with the upgrade to a bigger room upon arrival, and ending with the restaurant manager getting us hot chocolate when we returned from a frigid night out for dinner. The hotel is beautiful and the food and drinks at Peregrines were delicious. Our room was so comfortable and spacious, we didn’t want to leave it.
