Great location as it’s along Hwy 1 Trans Canada highway plus you can get a shuttle to and from the Calgary airport. Staff are friendly and helpful in terms of visiting tourist attractions. Far enough from the airport that you can’t hear the planes however we got unlucky to have neighbours on either side of us who knew each other making noises into the night (chatter, open/closing doors, knocks, laughter until about 2 am) that we only averaged sleep for 4 hours for the first two nights. We were too tired to deal with the issue but this was the only major disappointment as this never happened to us at other places we’ve stayed. It seems the walls were too thin or the noise policy was not reinforced by reminding guests at the time of registration.

We stayed at Holiday Inn Calgary. Overall, the hotel is quite good: the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and fairly varied. The staff were polite and helpful. A good option for a short trip or business stay in the city.

I was very happy to stay here. Was a huge inconvenience that only one elevator was working. The staff made up for this. There was a guy going around checking everyones car door when we arrived, and the staff addressed our concerns immediately.

The Shuttle driver needs to be trained to be more friendly. Also need to have empathy towards the guest travelling. The shuttle bus needs an upgrade. The drop off service should be available based on the guest schedule not yours. Also, maybe dim the lights at night. More noise proof walls. Your plumbing has paper towel hanging out which obviously show it needs an upgrade.

We had a comfortable stay and found the staff to be very friendly. Although we didn’t spend a lot of time at the hotel, here are a few highlights and notes from our experience: Breakfast: Excellent, with plenty of options. Bar & Grill: Very convenient to have on-site. Room: The beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet. There were a couple of downsides worth mentioning. Our bathroom faucet was spraying water; we reported it, but unfortunately it was never fixed during our stay. The pool was quite cloudy, and our bathing suits had an unpleasant smell afterward. We also noticed a guest using the gym and going directly into the hot tub without rinsing. Since there’s a shower right beside it, clearer signage would help with keeping it sanitary.
