The location is great. The hotel itself needs a facelift. No thermostat. Our room had a 24” tv. Our door had a 1” gap at the bottom and light flooded our room from the hall lights. No internet available in our room. Couldn’t connect to the hotel WiFi.

hotel has a lot of charm but lacks in amenities. Unfortunately that came with one major drawback. You could hear everything going outside your room. The guest next door left the tv on all ight very kid and was if it was on in my room. Same for guest returning home late night. I do not expect people to be quiet but I do expect my room to buffer sounds

Spent one evening at the Congress so I can walk to work for an early meeting the following day. There was no wait in line upon check-in and the staff moved quickly. I had my room key within 3 minutes. The elevators were fast surprisingly since it’s a large hotel. The room was very spacious and clean, gives you that first apartment feeling due to the history of the building. Hotel next to plenty stores and restaurants within walking distance. I’m from Chicago so I can go on & on about the perks of the location. Just book!
