STAY HERE!

Beautiful "Off the beaten path" hotel! Close to a lot of tourist spots without the congestion. Twenty minute walk to the Castle. Staff is AMAZING!!! They are extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delish. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The one issue is that a taxi cannot pick you up or drop you off outside the property. But staff are happy to call a taxi and it collects you avout 100 metres away at the corner.

Excellent breakfast, very clean. Good wifi. We had good elevator access but some rooms did not. Entrance to hotel was difficult and there was no assistance to get into the building and no taxi access at the front.

This place worked great for our overnight in Edinburgh. Staff at check in was very helpful. We had a 4am leave to the airport and they set up a taxi for us - no problem. Easy walk to tons of pubs and restaurants. Room we had was small but we were only there for a few hours so no big deal.

GREAT hotel... except...

I really like the my stay ... except... there is essentially no soundproofing between the floors. And whoever stayed in the room above paced back and forth every morning and evening for at least an hour. The room was great, the bed comfy, the bathroom clean and spacious. Would absolutely stay again... but on the top floor.

Great hotel shame about the noise!

We stayed at hotel indigo to celebrate our ruby wedding anniversary.We love Edinburgh and have stayed at many hotels over the years.This hotel was excellent,the staff were brilliant so helpful.The only downside was we were in room 309 the noise from the traffic and trams was bad even with the ear plugs provided,the noise started from 5.30am. Otherwise can’t fault the hotel would definitely stay again probably in a room away from the main road.

Inconvenient

The hotel, itself, was excellent. However, it was not handicap accessible, there being steps from the sidewalk to the front door. Furthermore, taxis are not permitted to stop in front of the hotel, a major inconvenience. For these reasons, I would not recommend staying there.
