The room was small, but clean. The tram was a very short walk away and was only a few stops to the airport. The staff were very friendly. Given that the room as small, it was nice to have a place, adjacent to the lobby, where you could sit, eat and watch some TV.

It’s a nice hotel. It was just pretty far outside the city I was able to take the trim in fairly conveniently. The room was also pretty small. I was not expecting it for what I paid.

Pathetic arrangements.

I was double charged for my stay. First by hotels.com and then by the hotel. Secondly there was no bedding in my room. I had to get the bedsheets pillow and duvet from reception and put it myself.

Only a couple of tram stops away from the airport since we had an early flight out for a quick weekend in Edinburgh, and was pleasantly surprised not only by the niceness of this affordable hotel but in the surrounding area. Short walk to Patina bakery down at the other end of the complex, and easy train into downtown for exploring this corner of Scotland.

Budget hotel, good value and everything we needed. Pillows weren’t great and had to ask reception for more as only one provided. Quiet and convenient for tram to city and airport.

Unfortunately, we made an error with the date when booking and were out of the country, so had no possibility of using it. Despite being many months in advance of the stay, the hotel was not prepared to ammend the date. It was a high season price and we were prepared to accept any dates. The hotel would not respond to us directly.

Staff were amazing! Only critique is the room layout was odd, with the shower and wash basin in the bedroom…. Price was a bit high for that reason. Location was what was convenient-right across from a tram stop and a shopping mall.

Ibis Budget Edinburgh

Pleasantly surprised at how good the Ibis Budget Edinburgh was. The twin room was small as were the beds, but it was comfortable enough to sleep in. Pillows could do with an upgrade as they are very soft and only one per person. Only one towel each too but staff happy to give you as many as you need. Free tea & coffee available all day was really appreciated. WiFi went down most of Sat unfortunately but apart from that, everything else was great. Will use again.
