We thoroughly enjoyed our time. There is clean, quiet right next to the water had a beautiful view of the sunset from our room and plenty of places to go out during the day shopping to the restaurants or at night they had a lot of fun things to do.
I love this place , weâve stayed here multiple times now and will be back next summer as well. Walking distance to everything , located right on the strip!! The lake view absolutely gorgeous and being able to sit right at the water makes this place a true little gem. Reading some of these not so great reviews I think âthese people canât be talking about the same placeâ lol - it has the older decor vibe and thatâs what Geneva is all about. I highly recommend!!!
The place was clean and comfortable. Must walk steps to room 9. Liked the location. Room 9, lake view was on the side of the building, not facing lake. There were no chairs on the side deck to sit and drink coffee and see lake. No coffee maker in room. But, there is a convenient store across the street to get coffee. The beach is non usable. You can't easily access the beach. You can't lay on the beach with a towel. There is a wall you have to clinb down to get to beach and beach is more stones than sand. I had to walk down to sands motel to use the pool about 500 ft. Away. Comfortable Bed and pillows. Bathroom was basic but clean.
Furniture was quite old and shaby but mattress was comfortable. Room was clean but a bit old smelling. No hair dryer but not a horrible place. Close to the action. Would stay again
The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was professional but the front desk closed at 11pm and no one stayed on site. There is a little ice machine in the office that makes a few cups at a time; bring your own ice if you need more than that. Lovely area, little private beach, nice decks overlooking the lake. Bed was comfortable. The windows need shades to keep the light out (porch lights are directly outside).
The property was not as clean as weâre accustomed to. Found a pubic hair stuck to a wash cloth, brown stains all over the ceiling, the door did not shut all of the way, and parking was limited. Very noisy guests at night, being on a party strip guess this should be expected. The smell of the lake was like dead fish for some reason, but the lake didnât smell like that at other areas of Lake Erie. Walking distance GOTL, so lots of options for food and live music.
The room was recently painted, newer floors, and the vanity and toilet updated. The bed sheets were clean but I immediately removed the bedspread and pillows in shams. The pool was at another hotel. My biggest issue (as a solo female traveler) was the lack of locks on the very lightweight door. There was only a flimsy handle lock. No deadbolt, safety bar/chain, or âpeepâ hole. Also, there was no one on site overnight. Thankfully I didnât have any problems but I didnât feel as safe as I could have.
This was a "spur of the moment" type stay, and what a gem. We had waterfront, which was a great view! The place is dated, but that did not at all deter from our overall enjoyment of the place. The little town is very walkable, and we saw it all. We were not there when it was really crowded, but it was fun. Hit a few bars, and dinner next door. (The fish tacos are great.) Fun find.
Glad we found Pete's on a cross country trip. Located on the strip it was convenient to bars, shops, restaurants, music and the lake. Rooms in the front are priced lower than the rooms with lake view. We arrived just before sunset so extra $ for lake view didn't make sense for us. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Walls are thin so we could hear our loud neighbors. Neighbors on the other side were quiet and we didn't hear them at all.
