We felt it was over priced for what if offered . Our room looked over a parking lot and was quite dark and ugly. People at the bar were noisy, we could hear them on the fifth floor. The following night we had a room at a hotel across the road and for only $50 more we had a fabulous view over the harbor and a beautiful room!

Old Hawaii in downtown

It was a quick overnight stay for us en route to another island. We were delighted by the friendly atmosphere and comfort of the room and common spaces. The bar is welcoming and breakfast was delicious. I would not hesitate to book again for a longer stay. It has an authentic island vibe with a great location.

The place was much more interesting than usual corporate hotels. It was nice to be greeted with complimentary drinks. Room was very clean and had all the amenities. Staff was very helpful

The staff are wonderful, but the property was currently undergoing some construction, so the parking lot was very restricted on space. However, I was luckily able to park there with the assistance of some amazing staff. The room was cute and cozy, and clean except for the louvers in the sliding lanai doors, which have never seen a dust rag in their entire lifespan. The top of the canopy bed was also quite dusty, and with dust allergies, it brought on a bit of sneezing that my allergy meds were not quite enough to combat. Otherwise, everything was fabulous. Again, the staff there is wonderful, and I highly recommend this place because of that.

Western Boutique Vibes

The hotel may not look like much from the outside but it has a western boutique feel to it. The room is nice but the main touched area in the room could be cleaner. You can hear the vehicles passing by during the busy hours but we weren’t in our room much during the day. I would definitely stay here again and the bar below is nice especially the evening/night bartender.

LOVE The Equus!

Had a fantastic 4 night stay at The Equus! The staff is amazing and Colette at the front desk is so caring and SO FUNNY! 😆 All the staff were great and they go out of their way to make their guests happy. I highly, highly recommend this hotel! The location is also great, on Ala Moana Blvd on the western edge of Waikiki. FANTASTIC! Will look forward to my stay there again!
