Apartment with a panoramic view of the old town, river and castle

The apartment is located on the top floor of a restored house on the upper edge of Alfama in the historic center of Lisbon and has been renovated in 2022. The spectacular view and the characteristic atmosphere of neighborhood are fascinating.
You have an view of what is happening in the streets, but also find absolute silence, if you desire. It's located on the third floor of the house and is supported by a traditional diagonal staircase, which in a straight line from the entrance to the house. The bottom two floors of the house are still in the period before the great earthquake of 1755 and was not destroyed by this. The upper two floors were built in the 19th Century. The flat is very centrally located and has all day sunshine (except, when it is cloudy ...)

Further Details: The apartment has a very central location in a historic building in the heart of the old city of Lisbon. It is well developed and is on the tram line No 28. The Monastery of Sao Vicente, the Castle Hill and the streets of Alfama are a few minutes away. Go on city tours of this place of rest and enjoy the panoramic view from every window. Or stay in the apartment and enjoy the special atmosphere and the high, bright rooms.

We may pick all the oranges of the tree of our neighbour, that are within our range. The tree is in the back yard of the house and we have a special instrument to pick them :-)
Since 2022 we have our own balcony of 1.20m x 2.00m with a spectacular view over the castle, the old town and the Tejo

SUPER SÉJOUR

Tout a Ă©tĂ© facile. L'arrivĂ©e, l'installation, les dĂ©placements (il faut marcher un peu), le dĂ©part. L'appartement est super agrĂ©able, et mĂȘme + que sur les photos. On s'y est senti super bien. La vue est dingue. La terrasse est trĂšs petite, mais pour un apĂ©ro au coucher du soleil, c'est amplement suffisant.

excellente relation avec le propriétaire qui répond aux demandes dans les heures qui suivent. Accueil par une voisine trÚs chaleureux. Appartement avec vue sublime et trÚs bien placé pour visiter à pied tous les coins charmants de la vieille ville, la vue panoramique de Graça. Commerçants à proximité. Superbe vue depuis l’appartement

Nous avons passĂ© un trĂšs bon sĂ©jour. Tout Ă©tait propre et les lits faits Ă  l’arrivĂ©e. L’escalier trĂšs escarpĂ© a rajoutĂ© d’un charme au sĂ©jour. Paula qui s’est occupĂ© de nous a Ă©tĂ© parfaite.

3 chambres et tout le nécessaire,située dans un endroit calme ,mais tout proche de l animation de Graça et lAlfama,avec la présence comme voisine de Paula,qui parle français et est de bons conseils(je vous recommande en particulier le restaurant PICKEU s;ur la place de Graça);on peut visiter Lisbonne à pied de l appartement,ce que j ai fait pendant 4 jours ,à 66 ans,mais il faut malgré tout savoir que l Alfama est trÚs pentu avec beaucoup d escaliers et surtout l appartement est est situé au dernier étage de l immeuble sans ascenceur avec 52 marches a monter ,ceci dit Lisbonne,sintra,cascais,belem vous aurez de quoi faire;

Appartement trÚs agréable et trÚs bien situé

Nous venons de passer une semaine trÚs agréable à Lisbonne avec nos deux fils. L'appartement est trÚs agréable et propre. Il est lumineux car en dernier étage et on a une superbe vue. Josef est trÚs réactif et accommodant ( nous avons pu nous installer dÚs le matin comme l'appartement était libre ) et son amie Paula qui nous a accueillis est charmante et disponible. Il y a toute la vaisselle nécessaire pour une famille. Le quartier de l'Alfama est juste à cÎté , le centre et le métro sont à moins de 15 minutes. Nous recommandons vraiment cet appartement.

Mon épouse et moi avons passé 10 jours magnifiques. Bien placé dans le quartier de Graça au pied du fameux Tram 28 et à proximité immédiate d'Alfama. Schöne Ferienwohnung mit toller Aussicht. Die Ferienwohnung ist angenehm fĂŒr 2 Personen, ich denke innen gehen auch mehr Personen, der Balkon ist allerdings eng, er ist mit zwei Personen schon voll. Über die lange enge Treppe wĂ€r ich gern vorher informiert worden, dann hĂ€tten wir zwei kleine Koffer mitgebracht, statt einen großen. Ansonsten super Lage, tolle Aussicht und alles sauber. It's a wonderful rustic place in the heart of Alfama. It's right above a quiet restaurant that serves great brunches. The owner was very friendly and gave a lot of helpful tips, such as where to visit and where to get the best parking, etc. The property has a lot of stairs which can be a bit exhausting after a long day of walking (In Alfama you should expect a lot of walking). The view makes it worth it.The place itself can get a little hot, but there's window shutters to keep out the sun and a fan so if you fan be very comfortable.

Brilliant view. Comfortable and sizeable property. The balcony has views both directions - of the city and of the ocean. Alfama is the place to be in Lisbon! What was most gratifying was the pre-stay advice of the owner, Seppei, and the on-site support of his helper, Paula, who lives downstairs.Felt like ‘home’ to us. Though it pains us to mention it, for anyone physically challenged, there are four levels of steps to access the apartment and that should be consideredWould stay there again. Thank you! .

I steep climb but worth it for the view!

In a lovely part of Lisbon's old town Close to trams and a few restaurants and shops. Very steep stairs up to the top floor but worth it for fabulous views.The host very kindly gave recommendations about restaurants. It would have been nice to have had some info in the apartment about the area and transport and maybe a bottle of water in the fridge on arrival! Just small things, overall apartment was very clean and well equipped, we had a great stay.

As beautiful as the pictures!!!

What a beautiful apartment, with unbelievable views from the windows and balcony! If you love the pictures, you will love the apartment. It is also clean and comfortable. It has some quirks: lots of steep steps to get up to it, and an odd layout with several small-ish rooms. But everything works really well, and it is so pretty inside, and the views are just amazing!

Hilly and lots of stairs but worth it!

We enjoyed staying in a neighbour with character versus in a more downtown location. Most everything was in a enjoyable walking distance
despite the hills and stairs! Access to appartment requires climbing 50 stairs, straight up but surprisingly doable. Appartment was comfortable for the time spent inside and with the amenities needed. It is a family home so older in style than some may want but had an unexpected warmth and charm. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening on the balcony with amazing views. It was somewhat smaller than we imagined based on photo but we managed. Definitely a plus! Host was so helpful and provided lots of needed detailed info as we planned our stay, and Paula in charge of checkin/checkou, again, very helpful.
