My spacious air-conditioned 220 square metre / 2800 square feet, 3 bedroom apartment, is located in a traditional 1930's building, lovingly restored for modern living.
I designed it for families or friends travelling together to be able enjoy a luxury stay right in the heart of everything our amazing city has to offer.

YOURS IN ENTIRETY
My apartment, which is called Casa Almada, is totally private with a door entry system, and you will have the run of the place and not share anything with anyone else.

You will access the building from the street with an access code which takes you to the building stairs lined by traditional tiles taking you up to the fourth floor.

There is no lift but being on the top floor you get the most light and won't be troubled by noise from neighbours above you which is often an issue in older buildings here. The stairs also help you burn off the calories from the Pastel de Nata you will be eating from the local bakery each morning ;)

LISBON
Lisbon is a city that's always evolving.

Its exciting , dynamic, gritty, elegant, relaxed and energetic all at once - so there is something for everyone and suit the mood you wake up to each day.

Many restaurants in the vicinity cater for all tastes and pockets. Also several groceries and other stores in the surrounding streets including an amazing deli that sources products from the Azores.

GETTING AROUND / EXPLORING
Casa Almada is in the very centre of Lisbon Downtown, so you can enjoy the city on foot and won't need a car. Public transport and Uber / Bolt are available and are fast, cheap and ubiquitous.

If you feel like exploring further, maybe to spend a day at Cascais or Estoril beaches, with direct trains from nearby Cais do Sodré train station. Meanwhile the Metro stations of Terreiro de Paco (Blue line direct to the Zoo) and Baixa Chiado (Blue and Green lines) which are both 5 minutes away.

You could / should also get on board to cross the Tagus River to explore the apartment's namesake town, Almada.

Susan and her team were great, they were responsive and helpful. The apt itself was perfect for us (3 couples), it was clean, well appointed and felt very warm and comfortable. The living room furniture was comfortable and the lighting was perfect. The location was pure perfection, we walked everywhere, toured some amazing places and enjoyed delicious food, coffee and gelato, all of which was very close-by. The grocery was also convenient. Very communicative hosts with incredible response time and a fantastic location. The building is a modernized 1930s walk-up (no lift)—so expect 80 stairs. Help with luggage was limited on arrival (possibly since we came by train vs. airport) but provided on departure when we booked airport transfer through host. Hosts did accommodated early bag drop off, which saved luggage storage—thank you! Some stairs have chipped marble/tile, (lost a luggage wheel). Apartment is modern and comfortable, though eucalyptus plants were tough for allergy sufferers. Furniture was nice, kitchen cute/functional, keypad controls for lights/AC great. Soft linens, but only one towel per person—dryer took 6 hours, a clothesline would help.Expect trolley noise when sleeping on sofa bed and some bright electronics at night. Overall stylish, convenient stay but plan accordingly for stairs – leave in the morning and return in the evening.

Incredible property

We have stayed at numerous properties all over the world, and this is by far the most luxurious and well appointed. The apartment was perfectly clean and oh so comfortable! We stayed here for the last "leg" of our trip and it was so lovely to have such comfortable beds and areas to relax! The location could not be more perfect and is so close to everything. Literally steps to churches, restaurants, trams, etc. We were welcomed via face call by the property manager and the owner was also extremely communicative. As is clearly advertised, the flat is on the fourth/top floor of the building with no elevator so this is likely not suitable for anyone with mobility issues, but we managed just fine. The home was accurately represented in the photos and we had a perfect time. The only small "issue" we had was that the ceiling shade would not work in one bedroom via the smart screen. It was not a huge issue for my youngest teen so we didn't bring it up, but may need to be looked at for future visitors. We had such an amazing time in Lisbon and this accomodation absolutely helped make our stay perfect. My family is now spoiled for future vacations, haha. I would 100% stay here again, and hope to in the future!

This apartment is a beautiful and comfortable! It’s in a great location that we could stop at mid-day for a refresh while touring the city. We had 4 adults so appreciated the 2 bathrooms both with double sinks, plus ample storage in the bedrooms. All rooms were spacious. Communication with the owner was great, and she had some great recommendations for res and things to do!

Stop looking and book this place! I've already done all of the research for you when I planned a vacation to Portugal with our 4 teenagers. This place was phenomenal! Even my kids said it was the nicest place we have ever stayed and we travel a lot. Susan has thought of EVERYTHING. Large comfortable beds and pillows, A/C, giant TV in living room (and TVs in all bedrooms), games, automation everywhere including blackout blinds in the bedrooms. And keyless entry. I can't complain about a single thing at all. If I could give it more than a 5 out of 5 I would!

Five adults had plenty of room in this stylish apartment that had all the amenities we wished for. A great location for visiting the old town and on the #28 tram route. Great wine bar and restaurants nearby. I would definitely stay here again!

The unit is an updated 3 bedroom ,2 bath penthouse property with vaulted ceilings, upgraded appliances, very clean and situated in the center of Old town in Lisbon. Walking distance to everything in the area. Easy for you to Uber if you want to venture outside of the City. You have to understand there is no elevator, but we had no problem. I would stay there again in a minute. The Host was great and easy to work with. Enjoy

Beautiful apartment in great location

The apartment is really well done, with large bedrooms and bathrooms and nice amenities (the quality bath towels and washer/dryer were especially appreciated). The owner is extremely responsive and easy to communicate with. Location is central to all the main attractions in downtown Lisbon, and a large grocery store is just a few minutes away. The toys and games for the kids were a nice surprise. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay in a great central location. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and very well stocked. Check in was easy and secure. Our only disappointment was the it was very noisy at night being so close to a busy road and tram, so do not expect to sleep with any windows open :) We would highly recommend this stay and hope to return again.

Fabulous in Alfama Lisbon

We visited Lisbon for the first time for New Years 2024 and were delighted with our accommodation at Casa Almada. The apartment was exactly as advertised and we couldn't have asked for a more comfortable stay for our family of five plus two extras. The host was always responsive to our queries and requests; she made transfer from the airport straightforward and there was an employee on site to welcome us and show us around the flat. The location was terrific, very close to the cathedral and popular tram route 28, also a short walk to the castle and the Praca do Comercio. Some nice touches included a selection of really great wines that guests could choose to purchase (at very reasonable prices). Although there was no elevator to the fourth floor, it wasn't really a problem and Lisbon is so hilly anyhow that some exercise is unavoidable and it would be churlish to bemoan the absence of a lift. There isn't much I would change about the property. If I was being picky, I'd recommend more board games, maybe extra coffee pods, extra blankets for when the heating turns off overnight (but that can probably be adjusted). In summary, I would happily stay there again if visiting with a party of five or more people.

The apartment is in a great location with the #28/12 trolley stop around the corner, Lisbon Cathedral a 3 minute walk away and a grocery store only a short walk down the street. The amenities in the apartment are great (as described); it is well appointed with nice touches to make the living space very comfortable. Check in was wonderful as someone was at the building to greet us and take us through the apartment. Security is easy and reassuring. It was very quiet at night and the skylights and windows allowed ample light in the day. Be warned that the apartment is on the 3rd floor so you need to be able to manage stairs (which was no problem for us). Communication with the owner was seamless and prompt. It is a great apartment for two/three couples or a family. I would stay in this apartment again.

Amazing stay!

What a fantastic apartment in a great location! Everything from the initial reservation to all the information Susan provided us about Lisbon was perfect. The apartment is clean, spacious and well decorated. It has everything you need. The modern amenities such as the digital controls for the lights and blinds, while keeping the character and charm of the apartment is a very nice touch. We were two couples in our 50s and 60s and were able to walk everywhere and enjoy all Lisbon had to offer. Thank you Susan! We had a wonderful time!
