SHERATON on CANAL ST. I stayed on the 42nd floor with Club access. The room itself was just okay—every time we walked in, there was a noticeable musty odor. The view was nice with floor‑to‑ceiling windows and shutters, but the room lighting wasn’t great. There were lamps, but no overhead light, so it always felt a bit dark. Check‑in was fine, though there was only one person handling both check‑ins and check‑outs, which made the process slow. After checking in, I realized they hadn’t applied the $130 tour credit promotion, and I ended up spending 45 minutes on the phone with Expedia to get it sorted out. The Club lounge was convenient but underwhelming. The hot food was cold, there were no cocktails, and the drink options were limited to juice, milk, and soda. The coffee machines were out of order for the entire week. Overall, the best part of the hotel was the location—close to everything.

Good area but rooms needed to be cleaned better. One of the rooms shower would not drain and the air unit was not working good. Valet my car had bird crap on it but they did wave my valet fee. My room was fine so might had just been the room. Overall was great area thou.

Super friendly staff that’s very helpful and polite. This hotel is OLD and outdated. The carpet in the rooms needed to be taken out 5 years ago, it’s nasty. The toilet paper is equivalent to camping toilet paper that you can’t even use to blow your nose. The comforters were stained and both had holes in the bottom of them. The towels are so thin and cheap they won’t dry by the next day. The worst, most aggravating part of our stay was the elevator situation. You could literally have to wait 20 to 25 minutes to get to your room or down to the lobby. They had to let guests use the service elevators it got so bad during our stay. The hotel is very convenient to everything to do. Once you park your car and pay $62.15 a night for parking you are good to walk everywhere. Corporate really needs to do a complete makeover of this Sheraton from top to bottom. Management was really nice and did a great job trying to make things run smooth for what they had. It’s just time for an upgrade.

Worst experience we have had at the Sheraton. We are very disappointed. The main reason is that the valet service was unavailable due to the high amount of guests staying. Many guests (at least a few hundred) were forced to park in one of three parking garages of varying distances from the hotel. We were required to pay out of pocket for this garage as well. Frankly, if you do not have enough valet spots for every guest, you SHOULD NOT fully book out your hotel. My travel companion has limited mobility and was told that there was nothing they could do because the entire valet garage was full. We were forced to spend more money on taxis to get to and from the hotel on top of the $50 more for the garage. Moreover, at 9am the morning of our checkout, the custodian knocked on our door and acted as if we should already be out of the room. Checkout isn’t until 11am! I hate to think what would have happened if we had been out; our belongings likely would have been in the lost and found. Also, the water pressure in the shower was very low. For as much as this hotel costs, there is no excuse for how they handled this.
