Although we found the hotel charming and the location excellent we had no water pressure and were unable to use the shower. We reported the issue at the front desk on our way to breakfast, and were told that maintenance was going to take a look at it. We returned back to the room after breakfast and still no water pressure for a bath or shower. On checkout we received no apology or any offer of compensation from the front desk for the inconvenience. Very disappointed.

The location was excellent, the hotel was very nice, the rooms were large and well appointed, the bed was comfortable and the security was great. I had two 'interior' rooms with no windows during Mardi Gras. Sounds horrible, but it was one of the best rooms I've ever had. No street noise (in N.O. this is a real issue), as dark as I wanted it to be to sleep and you could crank the air conditioning down to refrigerator-level cold and it would do it. All in all it was a wonderful room! Other than trying to get to the hotel during Mardi Gras parades which was a huge tactical error on my part, the hotel was easy to get to and 100% a great deal with parking. They only charged about $55/day for secure valet parking in a nearby parking garage. Sounds like a lot, but in N.O. this is a great deal. I would without any hesitation come back and/or recommend this hotel! You're literally across the street from the French Quarter, but you don't have to deal with the French Quarter issues. If sleep is important to you, get an interior room with no windows! Also, the staff were all very nice and helpful. I got lucky picking this hotel as I've never stayed here before although I've been to N.O. many, many times.

Loved this hotel!! Great boutique feel at a reasonable rate. The only negative was the smell in the room, which is typical of older hotels in New Orleans. Fortunately, I always carry air fresheners, so it wasn’t a problem. You can’t beat the location! The staff was courteous and helpful. Highly recommend.

Location location location!! Room & bed are comfy and clean, everything has been remodeled since we were there last and I do miss the 4 poster bed as it fits with Nola, but can’t stop progress! My first go to when looking for a hotel. Valet parking is available, but has gotten expensive, $51+ taxes per night but oh so convenient!! Just love this place.

I would say this was an excellent choice overall! I would definitely choose to stay here over one of the larger hotels nearby; you're getting top-tier value and service for your money at a lower cost. Rooms are clean, well-equipped, and my fourth floor room had a super high ceiling, which was a nice touch! Windows are large, and curtains are blackout, so you get the best of both worlds. The bathroom is very modern and clean, with a nice showerhead and good water pressure. Beds were comfy, lighting was great, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a mini fridge in the room! In terms of security, the front door is locked 24/7 and can only be opened by your keycard, which was good for peace of mind. The area around can be a bit seedy, but that's not their fault. Hotel staff are absolutely lovely and went above and beyond to make my stay incredible. I wish I got their names so I could provide specifics, but the folks I interacted with were amazing! Thank you again, and if/when I return to NOLA, I have no hesitation in staying here again.
