I recently stayed at the Arlo Nomad in New York City, and I have to say it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. First and foremost, the online photos were extremely misleading. The website and booking platforms clearly showcased rooms with stunning views of the Empire State Building, which was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel. In reality, the view from my room was completely different and frankly underwhelming. It was very frustrating to feel misled after paying such a high price.
Speaking of price, the cost of nearly $600 per night is absolutely outrageous for the quality of the rooms and services provided. For that amount of money, I expected a premium experience, but what I got was far from it. The rooms were not very clean — there were obvious signs that housekeeping had done a minimal job, and it felt like basic maintenance and attention to detail were severely lacking.
Beyond the room itself, the overall experience felt overpriced and underwhelming. The hotel does not deliver the quality, comfort, or value one would expect from such rates. Between the misleading advertising, lackluster cleanliness, and exorbitant prices, my stay was incredibly disappointing.
I would strongly caution anyone considering staying at Arlo Nomad. There are far better options in NYC that actually provide what they advertise and offer a much more enjoyable and worthwhile experience. I do not plan on returning and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
