Kinda gross. Floors we're not cleaned and I would not recommend walking around without shoes or socks in your room...it's just gross. The photos make it look nice, but think twice.

The entire staff is wonderful, welcoming, professional and supportive - Maggie with customer service, Samantha reception, Jose valet, and housekeeping. The location is fantastic! The room is basic but quiet, safe, and clean. Rooftop restaurant is great! I look forward to my return!

I’ve been staying at this hotel for almost 40 years. It’s never been fancy, but it used to be comfortable. Not any more!! - Our AC didn’t work and our room was about 83 degrees over our 3 day stay. We had to sleep with open windows and no screens. The air quality was terrible due to a fire in NJ. They refused to switch us to another room. Always an excuse. The AC never was never fixed in the entire three days!!! It was very uncomfortable! We tried to avoid being in the room. Also: No one ever answers the phone at the front desk…ever!! G-d forbid someone has an emergency!! We paid extra for a “deluxe” room, and this was the situation. Little annoyances included: no tv remote, it didn’t work and it took over a day for them to find a compatible one! Also, no hairdryer, no robe or slippers, no laundry bag,no coat hangers in closet, no in room coffee maker. - On the bright side, The maid service was good and the room was clean. - Barring a change in ownership/management, I would not choose this hotel again.

It is a good hotel in a very good location but the heat in the room was unbearable. It seems like it was central heating; we could not regulate it in the room. Even with windows open, it was incredibly hot in the room.

Extremely gracious staff! The lobby is beautiful and you can’t beat the location. It’s like 15 steps to Lincoln Center. Had a very cozy stay. Will come again for the next ballet or opera I attend.

Rooms are tiny and need updated. Our friends stayed in a much larger room than ours with the same booking… Not sure how ? The a/c, heater system was very outdated. Be prepared to be really hot or cold. Pillows are uncomfortable. Would stay anywhere in manhattan because everything is very accessible via public transportation. There are cheaper options.

The hotel is really dated. Rooms are small, no coffee maker in the room, bathrooms are so tiny that 2 people struggle to fit. Needs either major remodel or drop in price.

You have a lot of work to do.

The TV in our room did not work. They sent up two people 2x and never got it fixed or suggested a move to another room. The surfaces and woodwork in the room were damaged, the wire shelf in the shower was hanging off. It looked like someone once kicked the door in. The hallways were dark and smelled of marijuana. The bar downstairs was closed the entire time. Wished we would have read the many, many reviews. The only thing good about this place was the location. You have a lot of work to do.
