Staff at the front desk kept charging or trying to charge guests cash only fees for things like deposits that they should be able to put on credit cards and charged cash only fees to hold luggage upon arrival or check out. I have traveled nationally and internationally for decades and have always been able to pay refundable deposits on a credit card and have never been charged a cash only fee for a deposit or to hold my bags for the day before or after check in. The women in front of me did not have cash or an ATM card or a PIN for their credit card. The staff finally let it go which was weird. The guests in front of me were Black and I am read as white by most people so I thought it could have been a scam or that the staff who I read as Latinx could have been racist because they did not ask me for a cash deposit. The two women in front of me offered a credit card for the deposit multiple times but staff refused. However, as I was checking out, there was a couple I read as white checking out who asked to have their bags stored for the day and the staff charged them $35 CASH ONLY. I have never been charged by a hotel to hold my bags before or after checkout that I can recall and I am always given a retrieval tag. The couple asked for a receipt or a retrieval tag after paying them in cash. They staff said they didn’t give either and to just ask for the bags when they returned. IF this is the policy of the hotel, it is ridiculous. If it is not, it is fraud. I won’t stay again.

The guy that check us in was so helpful and polite the room was clean the only thing I would like to call out is to double check on the towels the one we had during our staying they all had hair on them but other than that the stay was nice

The area around the hotel seems somewhat industrial. You will notice this more if you are walking from the F subway line to the hotel. But this hotel is fine.

I still feel scammed. I specifically requested a room with two queen-size beds, and that's what I thought I paid for before entering the room, as they had charged my card in full before giving me a key pass. Once I entered the room, I discovered I had paid for full-size beds instead. If you have any complaints after you've paid they do not care they will not assist you. They claim management will be in contact with you. But never, try to assist you whatsoever.

I think this hotel is genuinely very good value for money, its super close to a station that takes you directly into central. The area isn't the best, but I found it to be perfectly safe (maybe because I'm from West London). The staff were really nice. The air con and heater worked well. Ashraf from the morning shift was really nice and helpful, he was super accommodating and tried his best to help.
