Loved the size of the 1 bedroom hotel room. Unusual for NYC. Great value compared to similar cost rooms at other hotels with much smaller rooms. Subway train was just a block away.

Hotel was clean & well staffed w/ courteous employees. A quiet room after the bustle of the city daily. Continental breakfast had plenty of options, restocked frequently and plentiful. There is a Dunkin Donuts for coffee as well as a Indy coffee shop and a convenient store for quick items such as water/snacks. A wine store as well as a quick eat shop that we did not use. The room was well stocked and surprisingly the pull out queen sofa had a great mattress (which is atypical in a hotel chain) that our adult daughter slept on quite comfortably and never complained!!! Location was a block to the subway that my family used multiple times per day in/out of the city. No concerns with safety in/around the hotel and subway (39th street/Dutch Kills). We made sure to be extremely aware of or surroundings as this is the city and we were in/out out early in the morning and late at night. Did not encounter the first problem and never felt unsafe. The subway to/from the city was quick and easy, never felt like more than a few minutes all over the city. We ended up using the subway/bus ( M60) to get back to LaGuardia, took about 10 mins on the subway to Astoria Blvd and 30 mins on the bus ( makes a handful of stops), just print a transfer ticket from the kiosk outside of Astoria Blvd station - drops off at all domestic terminals. Would definitely stay at this location again, great option for cost savings!

Really great hotel in a good location. Only complaint was the pillows were kind of subpar and cheap. I also had a hard time figuring out the heat/cooling system. Otherwise, great!
