I was fully prepared to stay in a great location in NYC for a good price with lots of charm. BUT... First of all the hotel lobby was filled with what looked like random people trying to stay warm, spread out all over the seating areas. Weren't even sure they were customers. Also, when given my first room the floor was wet. Got my socks wet after a long day of travel, no fun. The second room had a broken heater (NYC IN JANUARY). So, what I got were two room options presented to me that were totally unacceptable. Such poor setup and conditions that I refused to stay and walked across the street to book another hotel. To put it in plain words, they give you two towels. Wash cloths and hand towels are "upon request". Until updates are made, this hotel could be classified as a hostel. It certainly isn't acceptable for what else is in the area for the same price. The staff was amazing and sympathetic. I have to assume I am not the only one complaining. They all know this as I am sure they deal with it on a daily basis.

The location is great. But the HVAC doesn't work. I reported it and they never send anyone up. Each day i make calls, they dont pick up, i go to the front desk to report the issues and theybsaid they will send someone. None. The carpet was soaking wet coz the HVAC is leaking. Terrible room experience, apparently majority if the reooms are like these and their not fixing it. I will never go back to this porperty. Unless they fix those issue.

At check-in, we were informed that our room was unavailable. They downgraded us to a room with bunk beds, which was terrible. It was small, dark, and incredibly cramped. I complained, and they “found” us a room that was more like the one we had reserved. However, the paint was peeling off the walls, and the heater didn’t work. The building only has four elevators, so it took about five to eight tries to get on one, which meant a wait of about 10-15 minutes. I strongly advise against this hotel.

The staff was great and really helpful all the time. The condition of the property is not the best we are changed from 3 different rooms by the same problem the A/C didn't work and the problem was necer solve the last room the A/ C didn't regulate the temperature and we are on an 9th floor and you can hear all the noise form theaters and street all night.

Staff are great but only two of the four elevators actually worked our entire stay and even they kinda didnt. Had to repeatedly try to read the room keys to select the floor and half the time when it finally took my floor it cleared out the other ones already lit. Two of the days there the elevators wouldnt even acknowledge we pressed to go down unless we pressed for up and down. That annoys alone is enough I wouldnt book here again. No one single time did they work properly.
