This room was very overpriced for it’s size and what it has included. We upgraded to what the staff attendant said would be a better and bigger suite than the deluxe king room we had already booked. If it was, then the size of the other rooms must be barely walkable, because our room was super tight. And there’s not even a minibar, or anything for a king room that costed us $500 for one night, how on earth? And we thought the main positive thing would be the location, and that it would be worth it, because we’d be close to Times Square and would be able to just walk down the street, compared to other hotels that were farther away, but it turns out booking a hotel a little walk away for less would have been the better option, because we had to take the longest route ever to get to Times Square, and being a guest of the hotel really got us no perks or benefits in that regard, and that’s really the only reason why we booked a room here for that price. AND the pictures are very deceiving. The room looks much bigger and better than in person. I mean the lobby is nice, but when you get to the rooms, the carpets are stained, the mattress or it’s cover is torn, and looks dirty, and it doesn’t smell nice either. Definitely disappointed and would never reserve a room here again, especially not for that price.

Very nice lobby. Rooms less than expected. Very disappointed the bar was only open to 9:00 and very limit food service for breakfast. Need to take a lesson from Holiday Inn Express. While nearly everything in NY is too expensive, this hotel certainly fit in -

I was extremely disappointed in the Paramount, especially considering that it was rated as a 4-star hotel on Travelocity. The photos of the lobby on the website were beautiful, but the room felt like a prison cell. It was smaller than my closet at home. The carpet looked like it was probably 20 years old with lots of stains. The plain white paint (no photos, paintings, artwork) was boring. The mini plastic desk looked cheap. The shower head was rusty, and there were areas of the tub that were damaged. The only good things I can say were that the location was great, the bed was comfortable and clean, and thankfully I didn't come home with any bed bugs that I'm aware of. But that was the first thing I thought of when I opened the door to the room.

We have stayed at this hotel on at least 4 occasions before and always felt it was good for us. This time we were somewhat dissapointment because 1) The room seemed to be in need of a rug cleaning-noticeably,2) The bathroom had a sewer odor requiring us to keep the door closed over.3) the toilet itself was cracked in several places near the bowl-severely 3) the restaurant that was always only open at breakfast ( which was always a bone of contention for us) but was a breakfast buffet for very reasonable package fee, was now PERMANENTLY closed. They offered, for $1 extra a very minimal breakfast. The dollar fee was exceptional! But, the monitor there in the Conference room waiting area said we had to pick either a muffin, a bagel, etc. We could not "pay extra" or take 2 of something. A cup of coffee (no decaf) or tea included. This was a part of our 35th wedding anniversary gift to ourselves so yes we were dissapointment. Not the end of the world. Hotel staff were very understanding and did waive some fees for our inconvenience. Maybe will try a different place going forward. Lobby still is the sexiest one I've ever seen!

Cramped in NY

Very small and outdated rooms not worth the price. But very close to Times Square.

This hotle is nothing like the pictures on the website! Nothing is fully renovated as shown in picture! Room service is a joke! The lobby was the most beautiful part in the whole hotel! Great location yes but not worth the crazy amount and “hidden fees”! Please go elsewhere! You will enjoy your trip more if you do! Would post pics but this site wont let me!
