When we arrived, the room and bathroom were very dirty. The sink and bathtub had very obviously not been cleaned from the previous person staying there, there were stains on the walls and bedsheets, and there was garbage (wrappers) left on the floor. We checked in around 2am after a long day of traveling, saw the state of the room, and within the hour went down to the lobby to request to cancel our stay as the room was very unsanitary. We were told that a refund could not be made and we could not check out until our original check out day (we had planned to stay 4 nights). Because it was so late, we slept just that night there and left early in the morning. We booked this stay through Hotels.com and even purchased the protection plan, yet we were STILL denied a refund. This is completely unacceptable, a refund for the unused nights should be processed at least. DO NOT STAY AT VOYAGE HOTEL.

Room was questionable. Semi-clean but it even had a dirty towel and gum on the floor. The area is dark and doesnt seem safe. Definitely not family friendly. Also, they do not say this beforehand but they ask for a deposit in cash, no card, and depending where you made the booking they charge you more. Ours was $60 cash but it can reach as high as $100. We didnt have cash and ended up using the weird ATM they had. Not recommended at all!

There was no mention of a $100 cash deposit for the room. The ac/heater was decent. The room had scratches and gouges on the walls. The sheets weren't the cleanest.

The subway station is about five or six blocks away. At night, walking back to the hotel felt a bit dark. Next to the hotel, there’s a small café that served good breakfasts. The cleanliness was generally good but could be improved (under the bed hadn’t been swept and was dirty with some trash). The bathroom was quite good. They require a $60 cash deposit.

overall great experience! i was so impressed by the price for my five nights compared to other hotels in the city. housekeeping came daily, i got a fridge in my room, a cool city view, and the bathroom was super nice. heating & air conditioner was super effective and easy to use. microwave was good in the lobby. security deposit is cash only and $100 for expedia bookings. overall the only downside was the area immediately around the place. the nearest subway is an 11 minute walk, which can be a lot if you’re in a rush, so i would’ve loved it to be maybe five minutes. besides that it’s kind of run down on the surrounding streets, and the people outside did come off as kind of sketch. i never felt severely unsafe as a young women, but i did get some looks & one comment making me feel uncomfy. however walking on the opposite side of the road away from said people did the trick. i did the walk to/from the subway in the dark a few times and its almost better at night because less people to walk by.

I would like to emphasize that the issues I experienced were entirely due to Expedia’s decision to include this hotel in your vendor listings and advertise it as a suitable accommodation. Presenting a hotel in this manner, when it clearly fails to meet basic standards of safety, cleanliness, and professionalism, is misleading to customers and effectively induces them to make bookings under false pretenses. As a reputable business, Expedia has a responsibility to ensure that the properties it promotes maintain acceptable standards. Misrepresenting this hotel in your listings is not acceptable and directly caused the inconvenience and distress I endured. I firmly believe that issuing a full refund for the charges incurred is not only justified but is also the best way to protect Expedia’s reputation and demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction. I am confident that Expedia would prefer to resolve this matter promptly, rather than risk me sharing my experience and thoughts about this incident on social media and other public forums. Simon
