Extraordinary access to Monterey Bay from a luxury setting in the heart of downtown Pacific Grove awaits guests at this very special vacation spot offering the ultimate in convenience and ambiance. From here, you can park your car and walk everywhere — to fine dining, shopping and movies, as well as to nearby Lovers Point and the popular Recreation Trail bordering the bay.

The modern condo is within walking distance of the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row. Also close by are the world-class golf courses and restaurants of Pebble Beach, the natural wonders of Big Sur, and wine tasting and dining in Carmel Valley Village.

The building, originally a famous department store founded in 1918, was frequently visited by legendary author John Steinbeck who purchased his writing materials and household items there. The home is named “Cannery Row” after one of Steinbeck’s novels.

Living Space
Guests enter into the open floor plan area that blends the living room, dining room and kitchen seamlessly.
This brand-new 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath, 2,200 square foot condo in the historic Holman Building offers high-end designer touches throughout. The unit includes a wall-set electric fireplace with remote control, hardwood floors, modern décor and wall-to-wall windows that give picture-postcard views of downtown Pacific Grove. Located on the 4th floor, this condo is bathed in natural light and offers panoramic views of downtown Pacific Grove.
In the living room, a selection of comfortable contemporary furniture invites conversation, togetherness, and relaxation by watching the 75-inch HDTV above a remote-control electric fireplace that changes colors with the touch of a button. A home control panel is also available for you to link with, via your Bluetooth devices.

Kitchen and Dining
The kitchen features gleaming quartz countertops, European-style modern cabinetry, and top-of-the-line Fisher & Pykel stainless steel appliances including a five-burner gas range. Kitchen counter seating for 4 is available at the large island. A well-equipped bar area has two wine/beverage refrigerators.
A table with seating for 6 is placed in the great room near the windows so you can take advantage of the downtown view while dining or enjoying a glass of wine. Well-equipped for extended stays!

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Bedroom #1 features a California king bed and views of the quaint downtown area and a peek of Lovers Point and the bay. The bedroom suite also includes a 55-inch HDTV with Sonos soundbar and a walk-in closet.
The en suite bath offers dual sinks, deep soaking tub and separate two-person shower with built-in niche to hold shower necessities.
Bedroom #2 - Queen bed, 55-inch HDTV and views of downtown.
Bedroom #3 - Queen bed, décor in tones of blue, gray and white, and locally-themed artwork.
A full hallway bath includes a spacious shower with built-in seat.
The home has a half-bath and a laundry room with front-loading machines.

One small assigned parking space in the building's shared, underground garage (suitable only for small vehicles as navigating the garage is tight). Additional parking is available on the street or in a nearby municipal lot on a first come, first served basis.

Sorry, this is not a pet friendly building.

Please note that in 2024 there is an construction project in the lot to the rear of this building. Your view will not be impeded.

This home is a monthly rental and we request that all nights of your stay are within the same calendar month. Some exceptions may be possible, with the approval of our team and the homeowner. Extended stays are often possible.

Pacific Grove 3822 Cannery Row - 2022

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second time renting this beautiful condo so I would say we love it! The perfect location to walk to restaurants, shops, theater or the beach. It's easy to get anywhere from this location. There were a couple of maintenance issues, but, they were taken care of in a timely manner.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful condo in a perfect location! The multiple restaurants within walking distance were great! We were also surrounded by lots of nice small retail businesses! Five minutes from Cannery Row (by car) and so many shops and restaurants was a real plus! Our only problems were getting responses from the management company on a couple of items, but, I realize they've been overwhelmed with calls with all the people now traveling. Some inquiries were never answered. I would also suggest that the master bedroom window coverings be replaced with blackout blinds or have sleep masks available! This condo is located right above a street light so it is never dark in the master bedroom! There also should be a choice of pillows! The pillows were so hard and full in the Master that we had to use several smaller pillows from the guest bedroom. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable and we would definitely return to Pacific Grove - quiet and a true hometown atmosphere surrounded by so many amenities and activities! People were very friendly and helpful!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a great accommodation for those who are looking for a rental in a superb location in Pacific Grove, one of the most charming, laid back towns around. The unit is on the 4th floor of a quiet, historic building and has a beautiful view overlooking main street and the hills of Pacific Grove. The space and the clean design provide a real sense of tranquility. The extensive windows allow you to see both the rising and setting sun; the full moon streaming into the main bedroom, where you have a peek at Monterey Bay, is spectacular. The spacious layout is well thought out for multiple guest use with a lot of privacy. The kitchen is better equipped than most homes. Most important, the space is exactly as it is pictured in the photos. And a bonus for fans of jazz--crack a window on Friday and Saturday night and listen to a weekly trio that plays at Wild Fish across the street, or walk a block to Juice & Java to hear eclectic, early evening music from a local group. Everything is walkable from this unit. The coastal path is just blocks away as is Lover’s Point with its protected swimming beach, the Monterey Bay Aquarium is a 15 minute walk and takes you by the harbor seal observation area, and Asilomar is about a 30 minute walk. This is a real working town with a small grocery store that seems to carry everything, a number of great restaurants, a cinema across the street, a couple of good bakeries, a weekly farmer’s market and a public golf course. The location is stellar if you have no car. The bus is outside the door and will take you to Old Town Monterey, another vibrant area, in 13 minutes. Here is the main transfer for buses that traverse the entire area. With a car, you can explore Carmel, Pebble Beach, Carmel Valley and Point Lobos State Park nearby; or for a longer trip there is Big Sur, Elkhorn Slough at Moss Landing, and Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park near Santa Cruz. That we return yearly and feel fortunate to do s
