We have gone to other RIU’s and the tequila does not live up to the other two. Pools were terrible very unsafe. Pools were always low and below the skimming vents. Many times the circulating pumps were not even on. Would go to other resorts before returning to tequila.

All in all the property and amenities were good. We didn’t expect 5 star accommodations so we were satisfied with almost everything. What decided our rating was related to a member of our party having a good allergy. We were very clear there was an allergy to avacado. Imagine our surprise when she was served soup that contained avacado! Another member of our party found it in their bowl and brought it to the server’s attention and asked about it. He conferred with another server and said “oh, that was a mistake” and just carried on. No concern for what reaction she would have, if she needed medical attention, just cleared the plate and carried on. It’s just super irresponsible and dangerous. Especially when we explicitly stated there was an allergy.

We were 2 ladies living in your hotel and experienced an intruder come and harass us at our residence the whole night from around 11 PM and eventually despite calling security, we called for the front desk. Nobody came to help us out or check what was happening to us. The man was shouting in and almost breaking down the door and the door has no boat lock has no like a chain that would stop indeed he had broken into the room. We called the front desk. A lady said she’s sending somebody they didn’t come. We kept calling nobody was picking up. It took all of 2 to 3 hours for a random human being walking by our balcony to decide to come and ask the gentleman to go and then he was speaking Spanish. We do not speak Spanish, so we do not know what he was going to do to us. I took the liberty of taking videos. I took our pictures we recorded him. We sent it to the front desk the next day and nothing was done. We even locate him again walking as we went to the beach we were terrified and for the rest of the state we were too terrified Women at your hotel and because you couldn’t go anywhere else we just stayed. I just feel that you guys didn’t care about our safety and the lady at the front desk can have a nice she told us oh we had something more urgent that we were taking care of so I’m sorry nobody showed up what that man had raped us! what would they be talking about this then would’ve called the police at that I’m really so you wanted us to be gravely harmed???

Great location though not directly on the beach (but transport is provided to the hotels beaches and beach club-on the other side of the road). Food is good, staff is wonderful; however if you have some mobility restrictions, beware that tbis hotel doesnt provide any support to move from your room (sometimes rather far away) to lobby, restaurants, etc.
