Great place to stay

Staff was great, Engrid helped me help to feel welcome she was nice and informative. The room was clean and the maid service was very good. I'd use Tukan again when I come back.

misleading but nice

the hotel was clean and nice, but misleading in its description. I wanted a beach front room, and booked it accordingly. When we got to the hotel, I discovered we were a block away from the beach!

Staff was really nice and helpful

It was awesome !!! It looks so natural with all that vegetation and the location was perfect, I will go back!!!

staff made me feel unwelcome and the rooms were totally dumpy!!!

Pros: Close restaurants
Cons: Noisy
The room was a dump bordering on being seedy. The air conditioning kept breaking and no one would fix it. The beds were like rocks. The staff (with exception of the maids) couldnt help us with anything and acted like we were crazy to make a request. They didnt give us wake up calls or provide anything necessary such as fresh towels. They even charged us to use the room safe! I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone. p.s. it was always noisy until about 4 in the morning! It was sweltering hot with our broken air conditioning.

Offers great views of 5th ave & accessibility to everything in Playa

Pros: Close restaurants, balconies over 5th
This is the 2nd time we've stayed here. We requested the same room because it has a balcony overlooking 5th Avenue. The beds are comfy, the rooms are clean, & the staff is very helpful. This is a great value for the money -- especially if you get a good package deal. The beach is within walking distance. I'd recommend paying the $5 per day for the breakfast buffet. It's not a typical continental buffet.

Good Location and that IS IT!! Never Again!!

This place was the worst! Bad service from staff, food was horrible and the same everyday, bedding wasn't changed from the last people who stayed in the room and when we put all the bedding on the floor to have it replaced with clean stuff it was picked up and put back on, no phone to contact the people you came with, no t.v. remotes, the air conditioning is worthless and hotel security promotes solicitation for tranny prostitutes to hit on your man. The location is okay but more for the older or family oriented individual who loves to shop Playa Del Carmens high prices. A lot of stuff I am able to purchase at home for a lot cheaper. Cancun is a better stay for the same or less price of this vacation.

fabulous bargain

Best travel deal I have ever had, and I have been to Mexico probably 20 times. Desk staff was so helpful. Pool was small, but nestled in a beautiful jungle-like setting. Rooms so clean, quiet at night. Perfect location to see all the town's action--just walk out the door and turn left or right. Great food bargains abound all over this town, from super cheap to ritzy. Main beach in town was nice and clean, with such calm waters.
