Upon check in they let me know that half the restaurants and pools were closed due to construction, My “Select club Adult only Penthouse Suite” sections were also closed.
They then moved us to a family penthouse and we lost most of the “Select club” privileges..besides a pop up “adult only” (that had plenty minor) pool. A beach club bar and 2 restaurants to have breakfast at out of the 6. The staff did not seem to care, I asked why i was never notified and they blamed expedia. When I contacted expedia they let me know they were never informed anything about the closures at Sandos and that Sandos was refusing to reimburse or credit me more my losses.
The food was not very appetizing, My partner got food poisoning for 3 days.
They had some great bar tenders that gave amazing service, but unfortunately most workers weren’t that kind or seemed happy to be there.
They had a lot of wild animals on site, Including some Donkeys in a farm pen. One evening My partner, a bystander mother and son and I witnessed three women giving the donkeys beer to drink out of their cups.
We asked them to stop, as that’s animal cruelty. They responded “we always feed our donkeys at home beer”
We immediately went and told the front receptionist about what had just accrued and all they did was shrug.
Our air conditioner was broken for 7/10 days we stayed. We asked 4 times for it to be fixed and when I then contacted the expedia rep she said she only saw the work order requested once.
