Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
I like to be fair in my reviews, but this Hotel is no hotel at all...First, my room was on the 1st floor, and all the chatting in the lobby felt like being in the room. Second, the room is extremely tiny, measuring 9x9; you can barely walk straight, let alone with a King bed. However, the worst part is that there is No Parking at all on the premises, which is a residential area. Private Parking is about 1 mile away. Sorry, not recommended.
Alex was very attentive even though we had a late check-in. The room was clean and ready for a good rest. We loved the rustic atmosphere.

If you are a full service, total comfort, beach resort type person you probably will not like this hotel, but if you are the kind of person that enjoys charming, quaint, family vibe stays with the necessities, an emphasis on location, walkability to other areas of San Juan and proximity to the beach you will enjoy this hotel. Staff was very helpful with extending our stay by one day. The pool is also warm and nice but with the sea so close by you barely need it! Lots of coffee spots, convenience stores, great food (Bebo’s) nearby in walking distance.
The only complaints I have is WiFi was spotty and the AC leaked water with the humidity and the room got extremely bright if you were trying to sleep in late but if you’re on island time it was okay.
My suggestions would be thicker drapes for the beach facing rooms and perhaps a tap/bucket with water to wash sandy feet outside the entrance to prevent sand inside the property (beach hotels in the Maldives & India do this as well). Overall 4-star stay and I would definitely return here on my next trip.
While it has some charm to it, overall not a place I’d choose to stay at again. Very dated in room decor and furniture. Older building which is fine but rooms could be up kept better. Pictures of it on their listing don’t live up to reality. After room Service the first full day we were there, our room was left unlocked. Did let the front desk know. Told front desk twice our tv was not working and nothing was done. I finally was able to get Netflix on the tv and the next to last day the cable tv started to work. There was a broken coffee mug on our patio when we arrived. The stream of water from the shower was so little it was hard to rinse off. Tiles on floor of the shower were broken. They have no parking which we were aware of, we were able to find parking 6-7 minute walk away which was good. We did not have time to go in their heated pool since it closed at 9pm but it looked pretty cool. We did not get to try the Niche restaurant but saw great reviews for it. Places in walking distance for breakfast. Lunch, and dinner which was nice. Nice view of beach, beach is less than half a block away which was nice.
The place is nice the best part the Niche restaurant in the hotel. It is amazing and the chef and his staff are incredible. I would go again just for the restaurant. I didnt like that the pool closes at 9 pm and that there is no parking so you have to parks several blocks away. There is no room service, so ask if you want your room clean. The beach is right there in the back of the hotel that was a plus.
Only reference correct in description is small. Staff has family members sleeping all day and night in lobby. Pool is in another hotel a block away. Has a hot tub but dangerous to enter on stone stairs. Office see in photo undrinksble. No room service you had to beg, took 4 days. No daily breakfast available closed Monday and Tuesday. Not located in Condado it’s in Oceanside, no chairs etc. Beach towels about 20yrs old. An extremely disappointing stay. Don’t stay in this dump. The baggage hold is under a stair case in lobby with usually unattended with exception to sleeping family members.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
Great place for the budget and the walkable location of places to grab a coffee and a bite to eat. The beach is close but there is volleyball training making it hard to enjoy the beach. Room is extremely small thankfully we are light packers and our luggage fit.
This was a good stay. Right by the beach. Has a heated pool & a sister property you can also use their cool pool. Ubers were pretty cheap from the area as well! I’d stay again.
