The person who checked us in and out, was passive aggressive and disinterested in his job. He was not welcoming, showed no emotion other than disinterest. At check out he chose to continue processing room cards, with his back turned, and imagine knew we were at the desk for check out He did not turn around to help until I verbally cued him to acknowledge him. The description of "ocean view" fails to acknowledge the property is across the Freeway and near railroad tracks, with a very loud train. Appreciate location to Main Street in Ventura and free parking. And ability to walk across the freeway by bridge to the ocean and boardwalk. Breakfast items that should be hot were COLD and coffee was weak (like flavored water). Staff at the dining area were friendly, caring and invested in making the experience positive, and memorable to those eating breakfast. Confused to see two LARGE dogs on property with guests headed to the elevator when the "policy" is no dogs, except service dogs. It appears that those not guest of the hotel were allowed in and headed to the elevators. Very Sketchy people. I will not return to this property due to noise level at night, high price for location, indifference of the person checking and closing us out, the train railing and freeway.
