"This is a lovely hotel in the heart of Halifax and its diverse night life. The rooms are luxurious, but we found our window shade was broken and it would not go down, so we had an early wake up with the sun streaming in. We attempted to contact someone using the texting system they used, but no one came. We told them again at checkout, and they said they would let maintenance know. When you are paying a premium amount for a premium hotel, you want to sleep in and enjoy every moment of undisturbed rest."

"The property was going through renovations on the main floor only. 1st night, lights went out in all the rooms at 9:30pm. Husband was in the gym. Day 2, the gentleman at the front could not keep us in the same room and had to move us from a room with King to 2 queen. Day 3, our alarm to wake us up went off and the man at the desk came up and knocked at the door because they thought it was the fire alarm. Day 4 , no one touched the temperature gauge but the temperature in the room went up so high that the fire alarm light started blinking. I called the front desk and they made it stop blinking and I asked why was that blinking and she said it was the steam from the shower but no one took a shower. So glad to leave Day 5."
