"We arrived in the middle of a Holiday weekend and perhaps into a wedding reception so we were a little confused about where to check in. The hotel has a more relaxed approach to a front desk presence. The lobby mostly focuses on a restaurant/bar vibe. All of the staff we encountered were lovely and professional. We opted for valet parking and were glad we did. We walked out onto the outside area with chairs, couches and the hot tub. We didn’t use the space however, it’s a wonderful touch. We had booked a king accessible room and it was extremely generous in size. The couch was a pullout, I believe. Nepresso maker. Bar fridge. Plenty of reasonably priced snacks and drinks. An abundance of towels. You’re surrounded by everything that you’ll need during a visit to Halifax. It’s a downhill walk to the waterfront. Do yourself a favour and stroll the boardwalk."
