Basically, what was supposed to be a 2-day stay is now turning into a 4-day stay. The amenities are fairly decent. Beds are comfortable. Showers. Definitely good. They have been updating those over the past few years. We stayed here 2 years ago and I'll tell you the shower was anything but great this time it's much better. It still gets a little sketchy outside at night. We are kind of surrounded by the continuing construction of Mass general hospital and they do have some real weird characters later in the evening. Should be a thing for the cops to be patrolling but they don't seem to be coming down here much. Food in the restaurant is excellent for breakfast. Haven't tried dinner yet. Going to probably try that tonight. The only real issue I've had is the expenses of time seemed to be a little strange. I booked two rooms, actually a basic and then a a executive for myself and my spouse. My sister-in-law stayed in the standard and it was a decent room. It's what we actually used last year and it's fine but the thing it was weird is her room was $680. Where is ours? Was 332 I don't know why. The other thing is when I decided to add another day on yesterday you know they asked for a credit card cover. Any incidentals well I do this on Expedia and what they did is they literally double charged me. They charged the two rooms on my other card and I'm trying to get them to straighten this out and hopefully this will not become a solvent 7 issue.

Overall pretty decent prices however can be very very variable. To put it honestly, a room that we booked it for Tuesday into Wednesday turned out to be $680 for a basic room while my room which is actually in what they call an executive King was $380. Go figure. The area around the hotel is unfortunately a little bit seedy. There are a number of bums that I've seen hanging out there. Usually stoned out on weed. You can smell it. I mean my God. It's worse than a skunk and you've got Mass general hospital in the same area. That certainly doesn't make the hospital look too good either. I think one of the things that needs to happen people need to make a few police calls to kind of round up the riff. Raff

Ok if this is the location you need to be in.

Great location - near Mass General if thats why you're there. Many restaurants and stores are easily walkable - Whole Foods, Walgreens, etc. Facility-kinda old and tired. The batchtub spout was wiggly, the carpets had torn and repaired or not repaired places. Staff was nice enough, parking is ridiculously expensive - we took the commuter rail in - just a 5-10 minute walk, pretty easy, from Government Center. I was surprised that you don't need a room key to use the elevator - SO common nowadays and especially in city environments. I feel safer with the limited access that a key card type elevator.

This is a great location, and the staff and lobby are very welcoming. Easy to store luggage here as well. The room is nice, although the mattresses were a bit lumpy. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
