The location for this hotel cannot be beat. It overlooks Fenway Park, is directly next to a T stop, and is a short 10-15 minute walk to the shops on Newbury Street. Blue Ribbon Sushi is incredible, Row 34 is charming, and the in-room dining was delicious. The hotel has great amenities. My only complaint is that I’m used to free WiFi in hotels, and I did have to pay here. Even that minor inconvenience isn’t enough to stop this from being a great experience.

Excellent hotel for Red Sox fans and others

The Hotel Commonwealth is the perfect place to stay if you are visiting Boston to see the Red Sox (and is a lovely hotel even if you are there for other reasons). We’ve stayed there many times. The location is just a few minutes from Fenway Park and the hotel has lots of Red Sox memorabilia and even a special baseball themed elevator. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the service is excellent. Valet parking is expensive but convenient. We did find the beds a bit uncomfortable on this visit and perhaps they could use an update, but beds are always a very personal preference. There is a T station right under the hotel, which is super convenient for getting around Boston but many areas are walkable and cabs/Ubers are plentiful.
